TheRX is known for great cappers. I have never seen such 1 sided losing in any other sport. Only 3 people with a winning record, and only 1 person with a significant winning record.

Just fade the NHL room and you will be a winner.

I acutally thought the NBA is the toughest to cap, maybe it is NHL.

I took a stab at it early in the season & jumped ship pretty quick. Now that foots is winding down, I'll get back into it & see if anything makes any sense-but it's been DAMN inconsistent from what I've seen.

One of my ALL-TIME sports to handicap..........before the rule changes this year.

Still grinding out a small profit, but minced meat compared to previous years.

Every sport is tough to cap to a certian degree. I got killed early in the year took a month off from betting hockey to learn the "new game" and have been lucky to do alright the last 6 weeks.

Sorry for the double post as for posting picks in the forum. I don't think its a joke at all. All I hear here is people who think there smarter then everyone when it comes to sports betting but yet picks are few and far between. Ok I shouldn't say all I hear but there is a fair amount of people like that around here. The forum basically provides a put up or shut up forum for people to see. I do agree with you concerning the monopoly money comment but people shouldn't be looking at that anyway. People should be checking out if a person posting the picks forum is showing + units at the end of the night for more nights then losing nights so I think its a good forum if used right. It's just too bad more people don't use it.

i wish their was a way the picks forum could be set up that each person wanting to post picks started with a bankroll of 5 or 10 grand.

and the forum automatically added winnings and deducted losses.

you could only wager a certain % of the bank each day.

keep it real for a change.

imo, the shootout has made this already difficult game to cap even more so...many times your bet comes down to weather your team get get more goals on breakaways...very frustrating to lose when your team loses a shootout 1-0...and it happens ALOT!!!!

I haven't even bothered to start. Look at the actual win/loss records out there. Its like the NFL now, parity rules. Even teams out of playoff spots are getting a lot of wins. Columbus is a horrendous team that has been ravaged by injuries. Yet they still have 13 wins. Teams who are getting beat by an average of 1.4 goals a game have no business winning 31% of their games, but that is what the Blue Jackets have accomplished so far.

Doesn't seem to be a system one would want to play.

For a winning system take a look at Markie Mark's NHL Chase thread in the Hockey room. Not for the faint of heart, this system is ahead about 80 units on the season.

Yes a few can, even the contest show profit from some people, but is that what they would play when picking a team - 380 every other night?

Like the stats show only a few + cash the rest in the HOLE, but in other contest and tracking forums (i think) the stats show more people with a postive bankroll

the only games to look at in hockey are teams that have lost like 3 games at home and rested and tired team scenario

he bets correlated parlays so it makes fading a little difficult.

That is a great idea. Most people max out the tracker forum with 5 unit plays on every game, while people like me and Bucsfan do not. Making the standings not the same.

If it was up to me, every play posted here would be on a 1-5(maybe 10) unit scale.

I know that I'm sick of the 25-50-100 unit bailout bullshit.

Well the tracker room is a 1 to 5 unit scale, but this still does not make it realistic for everyone because some people play 5 units every single play for stat purposes. Unless you bet 5 units every play, post it like you play it. I finished up +93 units in baseball last season with one 5 unit play all season and 3 or 4, 4 unit plays the whole season. Other than that, every play was 3 units or less. If I would have maxed out every play I would have finished up over 150 units.

The same can be said for Bucsfan. He would have finished over +200 units.
