Since my last post, BetCris stopped bothering me for a few weeks but still keeps calling. I was going to change my phone # but the phone co. wants to charge me $75.

I have told BetCris never to call me again. Spoke to several managers and still they keep calling. I closed my account there over a year ago.

I will NEVER use BetCris again and advise no one else to use them or risk being bothered until you change your phone #.

BTW, someone named "Jessie" is the latest idiot from BetCris to call.

Best way to handle telemarkerters:

Never immediately hang up on them unless you are extremely busy.

If you have time, this is best method to handle unwanted calls.

When they call and ask for you, say "would you please hold a minute", and set down the phone.

Allow them to hold a minute and then return to phone and say "who is this"?

When they say who they are, again say, "Oh, I cant hear you with this television on...hold on a minute".

Keep doing things such as this until they are on the phone a while and get the hint.

You will be pleased to know the calls soon will probably cease.

Is this normal for CRIS? I've been a customer there for 5 years or more and have never had them call me once. Then only one that seems to bother me is Playoffs Plus which calls me once in a while on my cell phone. Some other book was calling me, but my GF kept on answering the phone and when she asked who's calling they always hung up!

Payoffs Plus sends me BAILS of mass mailing crap. Continuously sending me these big envelopes with same crap that I throw away. I am thinking of getting a woodburner as I could keep warm all winter on the junk they send and I have never belonged there as I have heard some bad things. I belong to CRIS for a couple of years and they have never sent me anything unless they sold my name to PP!!

Same here. Why do people give these books their real phone number?

The only book that demanded my real number was Bet365 and when I said I wouldn't give it to them, they closed my account. No big deal.

CRIS screwed me out of $939 a couple of weeks ago. I took all of my money out of there and will never do busisness with them again. I must admit they paid me within 2 hours of my pay out request.

I always give my phone number and have only ever had one unsolicited call, to cancel a bet on a bad line (which I figured was marginal). If you know my name and location you can find my number online anyway.

No
When they took over Richcoast they refused to pay me my entire balance.
I had won $939 in the 4 day period that Richcoast was in limbo. I offered to roll over my money and even make another deposit ontop of it. They refused. For a top notch book I think they handled the situation terribly. They not only cost themselves me as a customer but other's who I would have referred to them.

They cold call me as well. They also sent me tons of crap every month in the mail.

If I ran the RX I would not accept advertisers that do this. I know they pay but this type of behavior is completely unacceptable.

When it starts hurting them financially, it will stop.

Until then, businesses will never consider this unacceptable.

I've always been worried to do that, is I see it as reason a book may use to slow pay you. Cris has also called me last night, I find it annoying. They actually have a decent offer but I don't want to reward annoying calls with my business. I know how to read, if I get a legitmate offer over e-mail, I'll take advantage of it, you don't need to phone.

The only thing I get in the mail from CRIS is exactly what I want, and that is SCHEDULES! They are very prompt getting them here just before the other schedule expires. For example, I got my new basketball schedule Saturday and the new one starts today. If they ever forget to send one, I get on with Live Chat and request one, and I'll have it here within 3 days. Most places out there don't even send ouit schedules except Wager 7 and someone else like Oly!
