Sorry, but a $50 max isnt worth the hassle of opening a new account with anyone. If they are serious about wanting new customers, they should try raising that max bonus to at least $200.

Thats the 1st response I always have to these types of offers, but they do appeal to a lot of people, they just don't appeal to us. For someone who wants to drop a $100 in on the weekend and play a few games, its a good deal.

My point exactly. If someone wants to bet $10 a game, they can still deposit $200 and get $50 if they want, but why make that the MAX bonus? By doing so, they turn off the customers they should really be after, the "degenerate gamblers." :lolBIG:

Hi Guys,

We cap the bonus because being a peer-to-peer site it would be easy for a couple of guys to collude and make some free cash. Unfotunately the small minority that would do that ruin it for the vast majority that wouldn't.

We offer a small bonus as a welcome to BetBug. The real bonus is the value in the lines/odds and the safety of having your funds held in segregated player account in the Isle of Man.

I think you'll find what you save in line value and reduced juice more than makes up for any bonus that a book can offer.

For players who email me and ask for higher bonuses I can usually work something out after they've played for awhile. I'm happy to give a guy a re-up bonus or slightly larger bonus if he proves that he'll be a long term guy at BetBug.

Thanks and best of luck

Jason

peer to peer site? Can someone explain to me what that means, and how they are exposed on bonuses.

Peer to peer means you can bet against each other. So they both bet against each other, one guy gets all the money, cashes out and the exchange loses $400 in bonus money.. I guess that's the essence.
