I know this is extremly RISKY, so not saying I would try it. Let's say for example at 6:30pm est you're local has a 10 pm est (west coast game) that has moved 1 point off the opening # and he hasn't adjusted (-4 now is -3). If this is a small college game could you get some good middles if you take a lead +4 with local and sit on the -3 and keep your eye on the line hoping it will continue to go down. Do they generally go down(lines) or for that matter i dont think it would hardly ever go back up past 4, am I right? Trying to find out how to take the least riskest leads and this seems to me how to do it. When taking leads it seems like your trying to catch slow moving books and hoping the steam continues, correct? I think the only time i would take a lead would be to get a middle oppurtunity not for a scalp, just seems to risky for a few bucks.

Is the local -110? Just curious. Taking leads is risky and yes the number could swing back the other way.

A prime example of possibily getting burned was yesterday when San Diego was getting pushed up to -4 all day, and then late pepperdine got hammered and the line went down to 2. The # didn't come into play but I am sure players took leads at -3 thinking it would go to 4.5.

This is game exactly my example. I guess it's all about timing. I got Pepperdine +4 with local at 6:30 est when most lines had it at 3.5 waitded to play other side and did when it was -3 and could have -2. I guess it could work if you screen watch all evening.

Fish, when you take a lead is it usually to try and get a middle (open up a bigger gap) or just to scalp. In the long run have you made money on these bets?
