millen to meet with grimm, the pittsburgh assistant coach and offensive line coach on thursday at pitt headquarters. if pitt goes down to indy at indy this weekend look for an announcement mid to later the next week.

lot of assistant coaches, coordinators, and college guys getting interviews. you would think someone would interview jim fassel, who has at least some previous experience and success. strange.

lot of pitt organization endorsing this guy for a head gig. think he is a good fit for detroit?

Grimm would be a terrific choice. He's going to be a very good head coach.

I can only hope GB or DET hire him. What a gift for the rest of the division that would be.
He was laughed out of Chicago when he interviewed here.
They are still making fun of his press conference he had there.

From the day he arrived here (Pittsburgh) he was mentioned as a HC candidate. Not many coaches go from offensive line coach straight to head coach.

As a Lions fan I can only say please NO. They have been the most boring team in the NFl the last few years and I can only imagine that Grimm is not the answer.:pucking:

what do you want, an exciting team that loses or a boring team that wins? Ill take a winner any day of the week...ask the Bears or Skins fans if they're complaining right now.
Grimm is a heck of an OL coach, cant wait to see what he's made of in the head coaching ranks.

GRIMM???????WTF!!!!????

I am convinced the Lions have no desire to compete and are happy now that they got Ford Field. Didn't learn from the Vikes who are in their own division?

Would like a guy with a little imagination that has won (Martz, Kubiak). Just can't imagine that he is "most qualified" for the posistion. Never has had a coordinnator's job.

Apparently Martz has been known to wow people in his interviews, but I wouldn't want that guy as my head coach, O coordinator sure but not sure about the head job.
Again, ill take a winner and foremost, altho the 2 u mentioned are failry successful i guess

rumor has it instead of a press conference, millen and grimm will face off in an eating contest. Lineman vs lineman.
