Scalps are MUCH more plentiful than middles without taking leads.
You can basically forget about middling football without taking leads for the most part(not a great sport overall to middle anyway as compared to the NBA).
With an abundance of OUTS, one can find quite a few IMMEDIATE scalps........however small.
VERY, very hard to find a NATURAL MIDDLE this day and age not taking a lead or following steam.

Just leary recommending this to somebody that is relatively new to the world of middling/scalping as this is an area where one has to be quick and leave little time for making mistakes.
Also, BE AWARE that some shops will take down their halftime lines a few minutes before the 2nd half actually begins.
fish, I am starting to feel the same way. Ordered the Don Best screen a month ago and have found very few middles (esp in bigger sports). Just wonder if I was missinng something. Will say this " there is a special knack to this (scalping/middling)' and every day I am getting better and faster finding them but getting any info from you guys (posters) makes the learning curve that much smaller. I think to answer this question you may have to decide what sport is best to follow for middles. The Nba because the linesmakers have a better feel than most sport and the game ends up very close to the # or a smaller sport (arena football for example) because the line move alot more because their isn't alot of action on this event.
Fishhead, Thanks for taking all the time and helping me with this. I put together a chart (old school- pen,paper and calculator) and played out 100 bets saying each # 1-10 would hit 3.35 % and than figurd out with the different vig sizes how much money would be won making 100 wagers (1pt,1.5 2 middles). I know you have been saying that but for some reason i don't comprehend how to utilize that #(6.5 cents) to figure it out. I want this to profitable in the longterm so I need to be 100% accurate and I'm not sure if I fully understand how to figure it out.
