Used to follow the old Castaways contests and bowl tournaments at the Showboat. Vegas continues to throw out the old and in with the new.

I remember going to several of those wrestling cards back in the 80's. Saw many of the top wrestlers of the day - Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant etc..

How about the bowling alley and snack bar at the El Rancho? You could bowl, eat get drunk and get down at the book all at the same place. You're right Ted, the New Vegas sucks!

Yep! Remember it well. Use to compete in weekly tournaments rotated at Sam's Town, Showboat, El Rancho, and the Gold Coast. Bowled since I was 11 but put down the ball in 1999 and haven't touched it since. Sometimes I get an itch but I haven't scratched it yet.

Sorry to hear it, you should come up to Canada. Many Duckpin bowling alleys! You should see the old folks, kids and women too! I forgot how much fun it is. Anyhow, thanks for the memories Ted. Hope you feel better.

Spent MANY a night in that little ballpark!

Chasing numbers in the sportsbook............wrestling/boxing events..........great pay video poker(one of the all-time great spots for FLUSH ATTACK),......bonus vision slots.

Crack whores were a dime a dozen in the place coming off the streets of Boulder HWY and FREMONT.

Nasty area actually.
