I just don't get it. I log on at 10 minutes till tipoff to get a game in. I pick a game quickly, hit Place Bet. It takes 3 minutes to go to the confirm screen, then three more minutes to actually get it confirmed. I end up getting locked out of the game. And I am using the propbet backdoor. FORGET trying to actually use 5dimes.com. Impossible.

OK, so I lose the one game I get in and would've won the 4 I didn't. That is sticking in my side something fierce right now. But there's more. So I finally play $500 under Marquette first half. No problem. I want a dime more so I call them. The guy takes my bet, verifies it and reads it back as final. Game goes off while I am still talking to him.

I asked him why I was only allowed to get $500 at a time. He looks at his screen, sees my previous $500 bet, and then calls his manager, who voids my dime bet. WTF? It has been maybe 5 minutes at this time while we had been talking. Game is 2-0 2 minutes in. Not a lock, but looking good.

He tells me the only way I can bet more than $500 is if the line changes, and it didn't. Ok, if that is true, why the hell did he take my DIME bet? And why is it cancelled after they read it back. I don't get this place. I tell him I want more than $500 on a game and he tells me which games (and which sides) I can do that on. He'll take NBA Dallas -5 for 20K he says. "Only 4 places in the world to get that line." And this is the manager. Whatever.

So he says if I want more than $500 a game in college, I have to play it, hope the line changes, then I can play it again. If not, I am limited to $500.

Can someone please explain why I am playing there? Geez I'm pissed. What a dump of a place. And to top it off, Ican't move my money out of there because Firepay W/D's are only done after the funds have cleared through FIrepay, which takes 6 days. So I have to use 5pennies for the weekend playoff games, hoping maybe I can bet $1000, if the line moves.

I'm done with this crock of shit place.

Why are they always so hard to get through to? Even the phone was down the first two tries and I had to call their backup line. By the way, the operator agreed that maybe they should change their name when I suggested half-a-dime.com instead.

yes, I'm pissed and venting. I love the props they have up, but if I can't bet what I want, when I want, what good is it?

I dont wager more than a few hundred bucks a year. Maybe you should go to a book with bigger players. My advice. I am a small gambler who bets a few dollars each day and never have had a problem with them.

They are a bad choice if it's near gametime, their website sucks for speed. I like the book overall, but I don't even bother if time is tight. I like their overnite bases lines, a lot. They pay good, have many options, but their server sucks !

Ever think about picking up the telephone? Cant understand why you guys are ALL trying to be internet players when its much easier "at times" to just call and tell the clerk what ya want.

Maybe you missed the part where it took three times to even get through on the phone. And then, they weren't helpful at all. It is almost never easier to use the phone in my house BTW.

Sorry if that offended you. I harldy ever use the internet anymore myself as i have made to many mistakes down through the years. I always use my cell phone to call in wagers. I usually do it from car or outside if anyone is around the house to listen. Sorry about your problems. Maybe you need to find another spot to play. JMHO

Not really offended, just steamed about tonight's crap and in a piss ass mood. Lost the first four bets with shots made with under 10 secs left. And yeah, I'm going to change spots, as soon as I can withdraw my money. BTW, what's up with THAT rule? If I play at Pinny, I can deposit, play a game, withdraw an hour later and play some poker at Party. I have to wait 6 full days at 5Pennies. I think that's just more BS.

I hate calling in bets, that's a last resort. The only bet I call normally call in is action points to Oly, and I'll play that at 5D 1st if possible, so I don't have to call.

As a capper to the night...

I lost A LOT of close games, which, combined with the above, put me in a pretty sour mood. But I hit UNLV late (Thanks Kodiak) and ended the day down $1300. Being in an apparently dumb mood as well, I blayed some BJ at 5Dimes. Now I usually know to stay away, but I swear, this is truly the most fair casino I have played at. Anyway, I won $1305, so end the day up $5. I go to bed at least somewhat satisfied.

I always keep track of my BJ play BTW. I went 73-67-17, hitting 8 Blackjacks against 6 the other way. (I count a double or split as two hands and a surrender as half a loss.) I was playing mostly $100 a hand until the end when I played a few hands at $250 when it was running well. For the statisically minded, my longest win streak was 5 in a row (twice) and my longest losing streak was 6 in a row (once) and then 4 in a row (5 times). Suring my 5 in a row run, three of them were BJ - that helped.

Why do you care? You don't. But if I am going to painstakingly record all of this, someone damn well better pretend they care.

Don't know much about Blackjack math, but 17 pushes on 159 hands seems unusually high. Am I reading your record correctly Bromox?

As I look at it, 15 hands were double downs or splits, counting as two hands. So, TECHNICALLY, I was DEALT 142 hands. And three of the pushes were counted as double since I pushed splits or double downs, so...

14 pushes in 142 hands.

See, this is why I rarely post. I had a legitimate beef with 5Dimes and the way I was treated, the slow ass servers, and the very low limits. I think they do some things well, but a lot of things like crap.

I thought it was worthy to note that they would only allow above $500 on certain sides THEY wanted. I was treated poorly at every level. They took my bet, read it back, then came on 5 minutes into the game and closed it. At least give me the phone accepted dime play IMO. Get new servers. Change your withdrawal policy.

But, hell, say something negative about a sponsor... screw this site. And so you protect your advertiser and change the title of this thread where it can be buried and people can ignorantly go back about their business, including sending this place more of their money. Ridiculus. I only asked in the title if they had always been this crappy. Gee, my personal opinion is that they have become crappy lately. But I guess I can't say that. You guys are unreal.

Bromax...I have had the same problems as you time and time again. The answer of Call your bets in is Bulls*it. These are customer service Business and they sure do not provide it. I tried yesterday for 15 min before the first games went off and could not place a bet. This has been brought up here over and over and I never see a response from 5 Dimes. They must not care to respond, or do not think it is a problem. Well as of about 15 min. ago I pulled my funds out of there. Will that show them anything no, But I will never go back. There are to many good shops out there to get Pissed off on a daily basis.

You have to plan your attack at 5 Dimes and certainly need other outs. I put in my stuff there early and also have had no problem calling in exotic bets late. Limits are higher on the phone if you ask.

In there defense thier server has to handle 5 times the lines and options at the same time as other books. Its a challenge but if you want to buy points on a parlay or parly tm totals and the like you have two options: 5 Dimes and Olympic. try Olympic

Also they have backup sites
