Wie is dead last and is 99.99% sure of missing the cut. This is in the local presses' words the "worst round of her life." There goes my prop on her making the cut. In retrospect, the big contracts she just got after turning pro may have had the same effect on any pro athlete right after a "contract year" :nopityA:

No doubt she will be the longest hitter on the LPGA tour, but driving distance doesnt get you wins, ask some of the long hitters on the PGA Tour (Tiger is not the longest on tour). At the moment she isnt even the best teenager in the world. With girls like Paula Craemer and Morgan Pressel, Michelle Wie is 3rd at best among teenage girls. The LPGA has gotten much more competitive, you think Annika Sorenstam is afraid of MW?
While MW has gone on a 3 year public relations tour, Morgan Pressel has gone on an ass kicking tour and has beaten every comer in Womens Amatuer events. Morgan Pressel knows how to win, Michelle Wie has no idea how to win. What has she won? From what I have seen, everytime she gets close to doing anything noteworthy, she chokes like a dog.
I actually look forward to the LPGA Tour in the next few years, they got some good golfers there. (Plus, Natalie Gulbis has been playing better so she will get more air time, which is nice!).
The real threat to the tour is Morgan Pressel, the girl has game. I cant wait to see her and Michele Wie in the same pairing. Pressel will make a point to kick her ass on the course.
