I'm worried that this is a harbinger (did I spell that right?) of troubles.

(I assume I'm allowed to post that? If not, feel free to remove it and I'll just copy/paste the relevant text later)

I saw this today on a poker forum that I visit frequently. Seems as though they're stiffing their poker players on bonuses. Could this be a symptom of their company hemorrhaging money because of the NFL season?

Just a thought, guys. I don't have any money at Bet365, but if I did, I'd consider cashing it out presently.

I've never had any problems with Bet365 - bonuswise or otherwise. They're solid! And btw, I don't think they even care much about the NFL season compared to their soccer markets.

lee--Bet365 is and should be as safe a book as you could ever play with in the offshore world.

Was unable to get your link to work, so not sure what you are referring too.

Personally, have been a client of theirs for many years and they have been MORE than fair with me.

-FISH-

ps- Doubt if they got hurt to bad in the NFL either, as the limits will be cut drastically by anybody showing any signs of small winnings, plus as mentioned, their soccor volume and OVERALL volume on everything is much larger.

I can't see this book being in any trouble whatsoever. Like Fish said, they don't cater to big players.

Lee the link is dead so I can't see the problem.

I do know that Bet365 made bonus poker payments based on raked hands BUT they consider a raked hand to be one where you not only get dealt in but also contribute to the rake by betting or calling. When I discovered this I thought it just reflected how naiive they were about poker.

I have collected the bonus there for 3 straight months. No issues. Got my first cash out from them earlier this week. No problems whatsoever.

Thanks for posting the links. It appears several (many) players have been denied poker bonuses to which they were otherwise entitled apparently based on the following condition:

"7. The offer is available to genuine players only, genuine players being ones that are active /participating in games with the intention of winning pots. Any players who attempt to abuse the offer by contributing only the small/big blinds with no intention to actively participate in games will forfeit the right to claim any bonus chips."

Seems Bet365 has a strange idea about how poker should be played. If you contribute only the blinds and then collect the bonus you will be playing a losing game. Does 3 rounds of blinds only mean you are not genuine?

What is probably happening is that their franchise fees to Prima Poker and their bonus payouts are in the same ball park as the rake they generate.

This is clearly of concern to poker players but says nothing of the financial state of the sportsbook. Note they are still running their weekly $5000 freeroll.

Fairly solid privately-owned UK book, but not as solid as the Big Three, Coral, Ladbrokes and William Hill, nor indeed the biggest offshore books.

This hasn't been the case for me for the past 3-4 months. I only had to get dealt - and once I reached the 500 hands and emailed CS I got the $100 bonus right away.

Haven't played for quite some time but they opened their room with this peculiar rule.

No. I doubt the outfit has been even touched by the NFL season. Their main sport is european soccer and they're fast to limit winning accounts. Don't think they'll ever have a no-pay situation.
