I said it 2 months ago and I will say it again, Favre will be back , even though I think he should move on...they can't fix it fast enough I don't think....
I think one reason the Packers want Favre back, is they know his ability is still there and they believe with a healthy and better team, Favre's mental decisions will improve also. But I also believe the Packers feel Aaron Rodgers is not the answer for the future and if they package Rodgers in a trade, maybe they can find a suitable replacement for Favre.
But wasn't the new hire a previous co-ordinator of his? I'm sure he had some sort of approval in this. Bringing him in makes me assume they run a similar system. Favre said he wouldn't run a new system.
The Lions are a mess, the Vikings hire of Brad Childress might--if you can believe it--a regression from Mike Tice and then they hire Darrell Bevill as offensive coordinator--and the Bears are strictly a defensive team. A healthy Packer team definitely will be in the mix for the conference title with Favre back. He's still the best QB in the conference.
If Favre left who else would the public have left to wager on week in and week out, no matter who they play, where they play, what the injuries were or what the lines were...Oh thats right they still have the New England Patriots.
Injuries happen to every team...go back and look at this team's losses and why they lost their games. Brett Favre can't play conservative football and allow his defense to win games. He cost them SEVERAL games with defensive TDs alone. That doesn't even take into account the bad spots he put his defense in all season. This team could have won with Trent Dilfer at QB.
