With my son like I use to watch early Saturday morning when I was a kid. Watching the Rock and Roll Express vs Ole and Arn for the tag team straps Starrcade '86 I believe. My NWA library is very limited. Is there anyone who has GOOD quality DVDs of old NWA pay-per-views like this minus the WWE clowns having anything to do with it?

The best WWF years, remember the monday night cards they would show like once a month on USA network (these were only on special occasions), that was great stuff? Early cable TV years, once a month they would show a great card, usually from the garden....lot of blood!

I know Bobby Jaggers is lucky he escaped the wrath of Fish and Hawk at the YMCA in Fort Dodge, Iowa, back in the mid-70's. He's lucky we drove away and didn't stay and take him out.

The mid-late 80's was a great time for NWA action. I still have a few VHS tapes from that era around. Now that the WWE has all of the old NWA video libraries, it's probably inevitable that more will come out on DVD eventually. They have put some matches here and there on some of their DVD's like the Flair-Steamboat matches from '89, etc.

Okay, here's a shorten version. Fish, I and a couple of other friends, attended an NWA event in Fort Dodge, Iowa sometime in the mid-70's. During one of the bouts, Bobby Jaggers was teamed with a Russian, could have been Nickolai Volkav (sp?) in a tag-team match. During the match we began yelling "go home commie". We got the crowd going and of course Jaggers and Volkav were visibly upset. After the event ended, we saw both wrestlers in the parking lot and began to yell obscenities their way. Jaggers picked up a wood club, maybe a two-by-four and started chasing our car around the parking lot. It was a horseshoe lot, so we would drive around and yell, he would chase and we would drive off, only to start over again. He finally threw the club at our car as we left for good. Priceless memory.

The only way you'll find NWA DVD's is black market bootleg's of old NWA tapes since Ted Turner did little with the library when he had control over the tapes in the 90's and When WWE took over in 2001ish they haven't released single event dvd's of the NWA years. I don't know where you live but if you're cable company offers wwe on demand I would suggest taking a look at that. While its mostly classic WWF stuff from the 80's its still old school wrestling and I believe worth the 10 bucks or so every month.
