10 points given to Denver in the first half on that ridiculous pass interference penalty and then in the second half Bailey clearly fumbled the ball into the end zone.

17 points given to Denver. HORRIBLE! :nono5:

Don't forget Smitty...the interference dosen't happen without the fumble before and the bad call to negate one of the best plays in playoff history by Watson wouldn't have happened without the stupid pass by Tom.
Pats beat themselves tonight brother.

Pat Patriot, very classy on your part. If more fans can accept defeat without flying off the handle about fixes and poor ref jobs (u could use that one tonight if you want) like you are doing tonight, some of these post might be tolerable to read. Yes, its disappointing that your team is out but what a run it was and like you said in another thread, they will be back.

I agree the Patriots mistakes cost 'em...Denver made 'em pay and the rest is history.

But one play told the tale w/regards this crew. Remember when Denver was flagged for the offsides on 4th and 5. Belicheck wanted a measurement and the ref refused, you could read BB's lips...he wanted to know how much it was short...and they still would not measure. He was really pissed...they are supposed to measure to let the coach see how close it is...Amazing. Wasn't that the same guy that fired the flag in Orlando Brown's eye?

Then on Elam's FG to close out the 1st half...if you have the tape or tivo or whatever...check out Foster leaving the line of scrimmage before the ball is snapped...A False Start if there ever was one...and they did not call it. Elam does not make that kick 5 yards further back.

i see Pat taking the "high ground" on the refs - good thing

NO ONE benefited more from a "questionable call" than the pats in the Raiders' game the year they won their first SB - with "The Tuck Rule" - one of the biggest bullsh*t rules of all time and this after the pats had pretty much resigned themselves to the fact they were going to lose. Adam V still has to make a 45-yard fg into the snow and wind to tie the game (one of the greatest kicks EVER under the circumstances) but "The Tuck Rule" was a gift from heaven for the pats

I got a kick out of it when the ref from the other side of the field calls interference 5 seconds after the play was over from the other side of the field....If it takes you that long to think about what you saw...you didn't see it.
But then again if Hobbs dosen't fumble that play dosen't even happen.

Calls like that take away more from what Denver accomplished more than what the Pats didn't IMO.

Your wrong on that one bub...the Pats lost a game to the Jets earlier in the same year...on guess what? the tuck rule...nobody was crying about it then.

....by the way if you watch the replay the Pats got fucked because Brady took a blow to the head on the very same play...should have been a 15 yarder.

The interference call was absolutely a horrible call, but how can anyone say he "clearly" fumbled the ball into the end zone. I like everyone has seen the play 80 times by now and still can't tell. It was an amazing play by Watson but there was no way the ref can overturn that call.

horrible horrible call...Denver did make a few plays but for the most part NE gave it to them.

Brady didn't have good game, NE couldn't finish drives, refs were horrible as usual...the game was there for NE to win , no doubt.

The fumble out of the endzone was impossible to overturn, even though I think he did fumble it out, you couldn't tell for sure.

And so it goes......

That pass interference call was huge..it was horrendous. Both players using their arms, defender clearly looking back, and a flag is thrown on the defender? wtf is that about? That is a clear NO CALL.

Patriots just not as good this year as in years past. If they played in the AFC West they wouldn't have even made the playoffs. They got manhandled by Denver, San Diego, and KC this year and deserved to lose yesterday, period.

LOL, if you could tell that then you are the only one. Was impossible to tell. There was nothing clear about it.

Actually guys...using a bit of angles and distance, the direction the ball shot out and the distance he was from the goal....it was as likely that it went over the pylon and out as it was that it didn't from what we can see.... So, it was a lucky call for Denver, no doubt. If they would have ruled on the field that the ball went through the end zone then it would have stood at that after review... ALSO, after that run back how close do you think the closest judge or ref was to that play? A long way away and back...the wrong perspective to decide if it went through the end-zone.

The ref's (including the above call) really hurt New England but New England really hurt New England far more....wow. What a cluster F of a game they played. I had Denver BUT if I went back before the game and you told me the game was reset and reality didn't have to repeat itself, I would just stay away from that one!

A couple of other things though: Denver had some offensive play calling that was GREAT and was NOT the "Let's play not to lose" mentality. That also made the difference in the game. Denver didn't turn the ball over but once or twice, right? Denver's defensive play calling was great in that they blitzed Brady almost constantly and he was hit several times...the back of his jersey was very dirty...and that helps lots....So, Denver didn't do anything to throw away a gift of a game! Good for them and me. tulsa

If the Patriots had played Patriots football (mistake free) they would have won easily.Broncos did a better job of playing Patriot football than the Pats did.
Bradys pick the most costly,it was a 14 point swing...Pats score there they win the game most likley.
