Yes it cost me 2k and I am pissed. Maybe I'll just make my own call and chrageback the f..books....The pass that was intercepted in the 4th quarter of the PItts/Indy game was exactly that ..an interception.....not an incomplete pass. The refs wanted to have an exciting finish and they did. Any one know the ref(s) names that actually decided to make the phoney call? Its all BS and so is the NFL..A total scam just foe entertainment purposes.....You can take the f...NfL and shove it....all the books did make a few bucks. I am making the call instead of the refs....Final score is 24-17......Pitts kicks field goal and INdy scores touchdown....I am discounting the refs bogus call as the TV announcers and every one else in the USA saw.....I may just contact the cc company and decide if they should allow an idiot like me )and the rest of the public ) to be scammed by a game that is Rigged.....Totally!!!!

It's professional wrestling for grown-ups and gamblers.

The results of the games are predetermined beforehand in the offices of the NFL and TV networks. Refs and coaches are under orders to go along and to provide the maximum excitement factor (so as to sell more beer ads).

I was always told as a kid growing up. Anytime money is invole in a sports IT"S FIXED. So I just learn to be on the right side of the fixed game.

If the NFL wanted the Colts to win, it would have happened. The Steelers had 2 penalties for 8 yards for the entire game. If the fix was in, there would have been holding and illegal contact penalties (both of which can be called on nearly every play) nonstop against pitt. This game actually shows the opposite - that games that look fixed are just the result of terrible play or terrible refs. No way do the Steelers win that game if the NFL had it set up for the Colts to win.

can we stop with the whiney, post-loss conspiracy theories?
football's a pure sport, when you make it more about money than the game itself you're the one tainting it.
(can you tell i'm a recreational gambler?)

I can't figure out where Dickey gets screwed....if he had Pittsburgh, they cover either way...if he had Pitt ML he wins either way...if he had the over 48, he loses either way...if he has under 48, he wins either way....in no way did the interception call reverse any outcome.

It did impact the 2nd half wagers. If the call stood and things played out like they should have all Pitt 2nd half wagers are winners, instead Indy gets the win 2nd half. (Line was Indy -7.5) I do disagree about even thinking about charging back to the book though because of the ref's bad call. I know that the bad call costs the books to pay out a lot more money on 2nd half wagers than they would if Pitt covered the half. Bad call cost people money on both sides of the situation. (books and players)

I had Pitt and under 2nd half...

I believe I was scammed by this call by Pete Morelli....If you read USA Today "The call" made the first page.........OF US f...TODAY!!!!!! The ref could have impacted on the entire SUPER BOWL result because he and he wanted to make it close...and then wrote some fictional double tak like Prof Irwin Corey to try to cloud the issue. This prick should have his tires slashed every Sat for the next 2 f..years and then b...f.......d...He is a f..cheat and eveyone in the USA knows it as well as the NFL....They came out with a statement that was published in the Sports section of USA today....read it..This is really a disgrace for American Sports.....I mean maybe in some crazy country but America there is blatant cheating by the refs???? Gimme a f..break....This whole game is nothing more than a fixed harness race......that is where I will bet my $$ from now on..at least I know the guys are felons..b4 I bet...My interpretation all 2 nd half wagers should be NO ACTION.....there was definitely fraud involved...as well as conspiracy..(as mentioned in USA Today)....and I believe all bets that were affected should be NO ACTION....If Pitt had lost the game there could have actually been riots and who knows...this is not a joke..I feel what this ref did was quite disturbing and he should be investigated for gambling ties.....

Heard from somebody today that Morelli's house was vandalized - bricks thrown through his window and what not. Not certain of the validity but if it's true then ESPN will get a hold of it.

I'm in favor of refs using replay--players, coaches and fans all have the advantage of replay, refs should too.

Replay is, however, changing the way games are called. Refs allow plays to continue so as not to risk blowing dead a play they should have let continue.

Another apparent effect of replay is that refs used to have to make a split-second call as the action happened. Now, as they review the replay, thoughts and implications can creep into their minds...."Well, if I rule this an interception, the game is over and Steelers win. If I rule it incomplete pass, either team can still win on the field and we refs didn't decide the outcome."
