No because it wasn't ruled a touchback and since it isn't in the superbowl no one is going to remember that Bailey did anyway in 5 years.

Champ didn't gloat...dude was just exhausted. He's still the man, and also the best cover corner in the NFL. As a Skins fan, I miss him. He was terrific here, as he is in now in Denver. He's definitely one of the reasons I'm rooting for Denver now.

Leon Lett's play was in the Super Bowl (Super Bowl XXVII - 1993). Maybe you're thinking of the time he touched the blocked field goal and cost the Cowboys a game.

the bigger blame should go to

#25 Nick Ferguson

watch the replay - he escorts Champ down the field then starts to celebrate early whereas if he kept on running and playing he sees Watson coming and knocks him on his ass at the 10 and Watson NEVER gets within 15 yards of Champ - like what should have happened!

Even if it was ruled a touchback it was still a graet INT that would have basically been a 70 yard loss for NE, still not a bad play.

Actually, if it was ruled a touchback, it would have worked out beautifully for New England, as they were out of downs anyway and would have had to kick a FG. That would have made it 10-9. With the touchback, it still would have been 10-6, yet New England would have started first and 10 with a chance to drive for the go-ahead score. And with the way they were moving the ball, an argument could be made that Champ's INT could have actually helped New England if it was ruled a touchback.

Seems clear that Champ was letting his guard down too early. When you are exhausted, I can see stumbling into the endzone at 80-90% of normal speed, but it generally won't hit you out of nowhere and slow you to a crawl. He let the ball down and was going to walk in if he hadn't been hammered
