I think that I'm in the minority here-because I think that the Pitt D was that good, rather than Indy's O being that bad. If I'm right-Pitt should shut down the Bronco O.

TT, I think Pit D was that good. Whether they match that performance this week, I can't say.

Pitt's tough to figure out.

One week they are losing to the lowly Ravens and getting burned in the secondary by the LIONS, then their defense turns it completely around and they make Manning look like Elvis Grbac.

Playoffs do funny things to teams with experience (Big Ben not withstanding)

Big Ben was better than expected (especially in first half) against touted Colts defense. During the 2nd half the Steelers went into hold the lead mode so he had less chance to excel.

Bottom line, while the Pitt defense played well most of the game, Ben was the difference.

They showed a lot of replayes locally here that might not have been on national TV. The Steelers defense totally confused the Colts blocking assignments - time after time one guy was double teamed and another blitzer was left unblocked.

So definitely the Steelers D deserves the credit including Big Ben's great "D" with that tackle.

You had two teams with 1 coach afraid to win and the other that didn't know how to win...talk about inept.

Ben set the tone, throwing darts around the field early, that took pressure off the rest of the team and the Colts had poor field position early, the Steelers defense pressured manning but without the early lead I think we may not have seen Pittsburgh so agressive.

The Indianapolis offense clearly struggled only putting up 3 points in three quarters. It did seem like Manning was unable to pick up his reads on receivers and was under duress for most of the game and had happy feet. The offensive line clearly seemed confused on it's blitz pick-ups and even got beat straight up. For a line that had only allowed 20 sacks all year, they seemed confused. Have to give credit to the Pittsburgh defense but the Colt offense looked awfully rusty to me as well. Combination of both for me.

Ben is a player....Cowered thinks he can run out a whole half by running the ball...playing scared....you can pull that shit aginst 5-11 teams but 13-3 teams with decent defense teams will stop and come back on you.

I think the Steelers played well. Dangerous team right now, very dangerous. When Ben came back from injury he wasn't looking right back there, now he's like his old self again. This Steeler team has all the ingedients to win a championship, good defense, good run game, good QB and a smart passing game with plenty of talent catching the ball to make plays.

I'm no Steeler fan but wouldn't mind seeing Cowher get himself one, he's paid his dues. This very surely could be the year.

Doesn't that describe the Broncos? I heard almost the same exact thing today about the Steelers from a bunch of sources, yet no one said anything about the Broncos other than "unimpressive" or "lucky". Guess the Broncos will just have to win it all to receive any respect.

Whoa, just my opinion brother!? I didn't call them unimpressive or lucky so leave me out of that mess. I just like what I see in the Steeler team right now as compared to when I saw them last. I do think they are a much more physical team than Denver, especially on the defensive side of the football, but that's just the way I see it. On offense Broncos have an edge IMO.

Not sure why some seem to get taken back by reading opinions of others. I'm not even betting the game, got no feel either way. The reason I posted Bill was because the thread was asking for thoughts on the Steeler team and I gave mine, not sure why you felt they got disrespected here but that wasn't my intention.

Last time someone asked about lines for the Texas/USC game everyone got mad when mine wasn't high enough for the west coast crowd. They thought I was giving Texas too much credit, I had fallen for the "media hyping Texas". Just giving my thoughts people, not saying I am right or wrong....
