Well he was reported in Buffalo last week, congrats Matt Millen, this is one F'd up organization!

They're one player (Barry Sanders) away from 35 years of futility!

all they need to do now to complete their ridiculous hires is to get Dave Wannstedt to be their " Draft guru".

First of all this not official. He is reported to be the leading canidate for the job. Second of all he had a 42-38 record in 5 seasons before the "hurricane season". Is he a great hire? Who knows but their wasn't a big name hire out there.

I am still trying to figure out Haslett could be considered an improvement over Steve Mariuchi:ughhh: Why didn't they just hire Mike Tice? At least he is cheap, by NFL standards.

Haslett is the obvious choice because he's the complete opposite of Mooch. He doesn't put up with bullshit from players. He's an old-school disciplinarian, which is exactly what the Lions need. They have all the talent in the world, but all you hear out of Detroit is that the inmates run the asylum, there's no accountability whatsoever. Haslett will come in and put a stop to that shit right away.

I'm not saying he's a great or even good X's and O's coach...but for a team that has some great talent, he's just what they need from a discipline standpoint. And that seems to be the only thing holding the Lions back right now.

Maybe that's just me, though.
