Haslett is the obvious choice because he's the complete opposite of Mooch. He doesn't put up with bullshit from players. He's an old-school disciplinarian, which is exactly what the Lions need. They have all the talent in the world, but all you hear out of Detroit is that the inmates run the asylum, there's no accountability whatsoever. Haslett will come in and put a stop to that shit right away.
I'm not saying he's a great or even good X's and O's coach...but for a team that has some great talent, he's just what they need from a discipline standpoint. And that seems to be the only thing holding the Lions back right now.
Maybe that's just me, though.
