First Peja made it through an entire practice, and on the local news, said he was a go vs. Lakers. The bulging disk is not cured, and it could end up hitting the nerve and causing stingers down his right leg. I think this happened last time he tried, but may have came back too soon. Either way, now his backups are playing better than him. Abdur-Rahim has his jaw wired shut. I was under the impression this was for 6 weeks after Zach nailed him with an inadvertant elbow. Although he is willing to give it a go ahead of sked, as far as I know, the jaw is still wired. For one, you almost cannot breathe through your mouth, two, all of your teeth have wires and clamps similar to braces, ever seen somebody hit in the mouth wearing braces? It ain't pretty. You can wear a mask ala Rip for a broken nose, but no mask for a broken jaw, that I know of. Normally patients wear a set of dykes, wire cutters around their neck in case of regurgatation, so you do not pull a Jimi Hendrix. Ironically, I think they maybe better without them, as the backups are finally coming together, as illustrated by the 9 point dog winning by 29. Unlike last few games, where Peja was listed as questionable, than scratched late, he is probable, and should go. Not sure how to apply this info, but there it is.

Not supposed to put plays up on the front page. But my angle of getting number before Peja was declared out is not valid unless he goes South in warmups. You will see the Motowners line climb to 11 as AD will be suspended, and Pistons just destroying all they face but Utah. As far as the Kings game, slight push off of high 2, some 3, but not too impressed with Lakers on road. This is their number one nemisis by far, and that 29 point win over Suns team, much better than Lakers is alarming. I put the Lakers right around the Clips, and the Kings dusted them twice. Portland just crushed Lakers on road, I think Kings are a team that relies on too many J's to be consistent. But the line is inflated against them. Two games I would rather not gamble on.
