First Peja made it through an entire practice, and on the local news, said he was a go vs. Lakers. The bulging disk is not cured, and it could end up hitting the nerve and causing stingers down his right leg. I think this happened last time he tried, but may have came back too soon. Either way, now his backups are playing better than him. Abdur-Rahim has his jaw wired shut. I was under the impression this was for 6 weeks after Zach nailed him with an inadvertant elbow. Although he is willing to give it a go ahead of sked, as far as I know, the jaw is still wired. For one, you almost cannot breathe through your mouth, two, all of your teeth have wires and clamps similar to braces, ever seen somebody hit in the mouth wearing braces? It ain't pretty. You can wear a mask ala Rip for a broken nose, but no mask for a broken jaw, that I know of. Normally patients wear a set of dykes, wire cutters around their neck in case of regurgatation, so you do not pull a Jimi Hendrix. Ironically, I think they maybe better without them, as the backups are finally coming together, as illustrated by the 9 point dog winning by 29. Unlike last few games, where Peja was listed as questionable, than scratched late, he is probable, and should go. Not sure how to apply this info, but there it is.
