BCN was endorsed here for some time . Now they too have gone out. I havent recieved any of my funds and doubt I will. thsi has gotten to be ridiculous the number of books that have advertised here at 1 time and now have disappeared. I realize its not the RX's fault but I remember years ago this website only allowed credible books to advertise here and stood behind them. But once that advertising contract is up , thenits for each their own.

I believe the Rx took them down after the A's future Fiasco. That to me is a good sign. It has been at least 4 or 5 months...So to say they endorsed them they did at one time but it has been a while since that time.....G.

Granted they did remove their banner, but by then it was too late to withdraw funds from there. they have had payout problem for months.Im just saying that there is a growing list of books that were endorsed here at 1 time that have gone away with our money. I would have never deposited there if it werent for the RX's endorsement of them.

After they were taken down here MONTHS AGO, TheRX repeatedly informed readers to withdraw all their funds from this outfit, as it was obvious that they were in SERIOUS TROUBLE(no clients, voiding wagers, etc., etc).

They removed the Banner at least 3 months ago..Did you try to get a with drawal out then. And if you did and are just letting everyone know now that you have not gotten paid shame on you. If you are waiting till now to pull your funds out, then this is your own fault as well. Best of luck and I hope you will get all of your funds.

I did just call them and they did say they will be sending me my remaining funds to my neteller acct. Ill believe it when i see it. But that is highly unusual for a book that is closing to be sending everyone their funds.

as far as the Rx goes, yes they did warn people about this book. But my point is that this has become a disturbing trend for books that have advertised here. i dont trust half of them above this post.

Title change??

The title seems a bit misleading. Have they closed shop? Was the Rx endorsing them at the point of closing shop?

Or maybe to book that previous owner got to endorse here (wherever he is).

Seems like they may be out of business, no live lines for football this weekend. Or any for anything for that matter.

Yes, this was the case yesterday.

Anybody with funds at BCN should call them as soon as possible and set-up your withdrawl method.

I doubt to many posters here have accounts there with funds in them, but obviously one individual has stepped forward.

I recall a thread by OF yesterday as well. Hope no one had futures tied up there. Are these being honored?? Is anyone taking over whats left (maybe a client list, some computers, and one phone for their 6 customers).

It is unusual for a Shop to return funds, but this shop will probably be the exception because their just wasn't any players left over there. Its not like they have to pay hundreds of players, more like a handful

It's no shock to me. When the A's fiasco developed this past baseball season, it was obivious by the way BCN handled the whole situation, that they were not being run by the most reliable management. It's unfortunate for any player to not get their money back, however. Hopefully all who request will get their cash and soon.

The problem for me is that I still have futures wagers pending over there and one of my futures was on Seattle to win the NFC which takes place this Sunday ! What happens to my futures ? I also have two futures on Ottowa and Montreal to win Stanley Cup ? t
There is no $$ to withdraw obviously.

I allways thought it would be easy to run a sportsbook. Seeing BCN this may not be the case. Me and a buddy had a site (JBET.com) we owned, had some meetings with operators but we didn't trust them.

I figured every small town has a bookie that makes a killing, how hard could it be wouldn't take much to make some money. And it would be fun as well. Maybe the fierce competition has caught up to some books and now 10 years into this we now have big trusted names, so if your not a big name it has now gotten tougher to make it than in the past oddly.

Tough for start-ups they have to offer 100 for 100 deals just to get people in the door, and the retention rate cannot be too high. Books need to differentiate to get customers, varity of bets, better lines, and bets no one else offers (totals and halves for games not on TV etc.) And maybe a little extra Customer Service. Lots and lots and lots of untapped market out there though, new books looking to get ahead need to find a way to tap it.

BCN called me yesterday and said they were reorganizing and wanted to neteller me my funds. They were in my account in 15 minutes. Call them about your futures. I didn't call them they callled me, that is probably a good sign?

A friend of mine who still had a few bucks remaining in his BCN account was credited the remaining sum to his Neteller account this morning.

Hmmmmm, RDC-3....I hope you do get your funds, but you seem to be blaming the Rx for you not following up very carefully on a problem...this has been months now

You have, in-short, stated: I'm not blaming the Rx, but if it weren't for the Rx's endorsement of them I would never have deposited there.

That really is blaming the Rx. SO.....the question is begging: if you wouldn't have deposited into BCN without the Rx hosting their banner, then once the Rx pulled the banner did you immediately (and logically) pull or attempt to pull your funds from BCN?

You did? And you're just now complaining about it?

You didn't? And you're blaming the Rx?

Wow. Best of luck getting your money back. I mean that. Let us know what happens. tulsa

maybe its just me...but if any site or forum I visit or post at has a banner and I decide to try it based on that banner...I would like to think I have no one to blame BUT MYSELF if it goes tits up....I would research it on my own before posting up, listen to posters and players there already , and if I thought the risk was small to try them I would but if it went tits up I have NO ONE to blame but myself

we are responsible for our OWN actions

just my humble opinion
