Heard this on radio this morning. The team (denver) who knocks out the previous super bowl champ is 0-7 su and aganist the spread the next week as long as it isn't the super bowl game. Looks like a letdown. The only thing is Pittsburgh's win over Indy was as big, knocking off the prohibitive super bowl favorite.

I'd have to say the Pitt win was bigger, and that they would be more susceptible to a letdown. They (not Denver), pulled off the miracle win.

Unrelated note-Weather should be no factor. Clear & chilly.

The Steelers have the danger of a letdown. All you are hearing is the fan who suffered a heart attack, the Bettis fumble, Joey Porter saying they tried to cheat us. Do the Steelers know they have a game this Sun?

Bill Cowher has a history of blowing it in the AFC championship game. Thats the stat I am looking at.

Very right you are Chuck. I think this might be Cowher's first try in the AFC title game in the Road/Underdog role though. He sure has proven to suck in the Home/Fav role.

Plummer has faced Pitt once-and got sacked TEN times.

No wonder I keep hearing so much local hype about VanPelt this week-I guess everyone expects him to end up in the game.

I got a highly selective situational play (method/system/ whatever) for the Conference Championship games that since 1976 has had only 13 plays - and is 13-0 ATS. Had New England last year and came up with Denver this year.

Which doesn't mean a lot, and altho I bet Denver -3 I'm not selling the farm to get down on it. 13-0 doesn't mean a lot, and 7-0 is nothing. Game is still played by ratiocinative bipeds, and the ball is shaped funnier than other other ball in any sport in the world.

When you see shit Rothlesburger making that game saving tackle doesn't some part of you just have to believe the Pittsburgh may be destined to win this this year. Kinda like the tuck game in NE a few years ago. I had a feeling after that play the Patsies would not be stopped.
