What are your thoughts........positive and negative on this subject?

Would be nice to hear from a few offshore sportsbooks themselves on this matter.

Thanks

Hiuge negative in my book. Bet a lot of halftimes and I hate having to log back in after X minutes of inactivity.

Hollywood is one. I like playing there, but the stupid time-out keeps me going back.

My thought has long been why can't books allow us to customize this for ourselves? Just like customize the timezone and other features, let us choose 5 mins, 15 mins, 30 mins, 1 hr, 3 hrs, 5 hrs, never, etc. Would be a nice feature. I can't see why it's not technically very doable.

In the absence of that, ti should be AT LEAST 1 hour. There are some books that timeout in less than 10 minutes. That is ridiculous. Huge pet peeve.

Big props to Olympic and WSEX for never timing out.

Big :finger: to CRIS and Skybook for constantly timing out.

You are right on with the customization. Hollywood and Cascade are pitiful. WWTS was the same way until they caught all kinds of shit on the forums and now they don't time out anymore. Timing out in less than 10 minutes is ridiculous. Cascade will even time out on the home screen (without logging in). Now that is some shit.

Rookie. Why would a Book allow you to hang on a line forever?

Bet Jamaica is the worst. Not only does it time you out quickly, but it makes me go back and log in again if I simply refresh the page.

Jarbo, inactivity time outs where you have to log back into the site (not the wager confirm time out).

Yes, I know. It's still a good protection for the book. A lot of issues with folks hanging on any site. You guys complain when you can't get into a Site quickly.

Any site should boot you after 10 min IMHO.

The main reason for the time-out feature is to prevent for example, you log into your account at your office or home and walk away, then someone sits down and starts screwing around, making random wagers, blowing 10 dimes playing Blackjack. I can understand it is annoying, but from my understanding that is the main reason. And FYI most software on the market have the ability for books to set the timeout time.

You can always log out manually to prevent unauthorized use.

The timeout feature was built for the people that don't, can't, refuse, or really don't care to log out of their accounts. There are plenty of them around that do that.

That's fine, but does it have to be like 10 minutes at some books? Don't you think it should be at least 1 hour. Seems reasonable to me.

I totaly agree, that why I stated in an earlier post that most different kinds of software do have a feature where the book can set a pre-determined time. I agree it should be at least 30 min if not maybe a little longer
