I use this book all day long. I know the limits are a little low(for half point) for some of you. But it is a must in my opinion

Would be nice though if they didn't have half the NFL games at -3 or -7 to avoid giving up the half though. Can't complain about them overall, but have noticed since Matchbook has become viable I am playing far less on them.

Only beef with Skybook is that their software is not compatible with my Treo 650. I can' t check lines or wager from my PDA. Otherwise, great book!

If your bankroll is best suited to $300 wagers then it is fantastic, for basketball.

Why not ANY bankroll........???

Place your first 300 at Skybook if that is the BEST line you can get and the remainder someplace else.

Never understood this ONLY 300 limit thing and thus not signing up.

I see what you're saying, however:
1. time is of the essence
a. skybook times out constantly
b. they have like a 15 second delay (at least for me)
2. 300 isn't much if you're trying to get down A LOT more than that.

I KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO COME BACK WITH THAT ANSWER............EXCELLENT POINT AND CERTAINLY AGREE WITH YOUR STATEMENT

the 1/2 point is a great deal, however, skybook has tweener lines such that one side is generally -15 cents. with the low juiced books and pinnacle, you can buy 1/2 a point and generally get the same line with skybook with the 1/2 point. but again, it is a great deal

I think skybook is the most overrated book. Low limits, stupid delay (eventually I predict you will be on delay), they deny the delay a lot, charge for all payouts. Skybook used to be one of the best, but they are overrated these days.

I like playing at SkyBook. Two Problems I have with it.

1. No Overnight Lines
2. Delay before wager get's accepted.

I agree with Nimue77. Sky is pretty overated.

Here's how I'd break down the math. The free half is worth about 7 cents on a hoops side, limit is $300.

You get say a side +6 330= 300, but could have got +5.5 -105 315=300.

The half is worth 7 cents, so it's about equal to getting +5.5 -103 309=300.

Fair deal, for sure, so it's worth about $6 on a limit bet !

They lack some stuff like pucklines, overnites, free payouts. They sponsor great contests, so always get a bet in there weekly in case you win a contest. They pay fine.

I'd miss plenty of books more than SKY if I had to eliminate one, they'd be about 7th on my protected list, in other words I'd rate about 6 as being more important to keep. The contests are a main reason I play there.

Partial list of books more important to me are Mansion, Pinny, Wagerweb,SIA,Olympic, 5 Dimes, Trojan, it depends on the season though ! SIA becomes less useful after NFL, 5D becomes more useful during MLB, etc.

Mansion is my overall favorite book, but lacks many things.

is SKYBOOK OWNED BY THE SAME PEOPLE THAT NOW OWN THE RX???

According to EOG, there is "connection", I doubt outright partnership or similar, but Sky and RX seem to go hand in hand. Nobody offers contests like Sky, gotta be cheaper ad rate, at least !

Sky is good book ( solid), but no book has everything, that's why you need many books !

I think like Fish said it is a an absolute must on hoops. Many times they already have the best # than you get the half point on top of it is huge!!!

More often than not the juice is -112/ -108, with -112 on the side I want, making the half useless against -105.
