79 points with less than 2 minutes to go....at Least Wilt asked his 30 thousand women for their consent first before he proceeded

Took more than 50% of the Lakers shots...all about him and nothing else.

Though 81 points has to be 2nd most all time.

Lakers are a .500 team since Shaq left. But Kobe got what he wanted, its his team now. A .500 team, but wins and losses are meaningless in todays NBA. Its all about individual stats to these guys now. I used to love the NBA, now I completely ignore it.

Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Isiah Thomas, Michael Jordan, Kevin McHale, David Robinson, Charles Barkley, et all, played when the NBA wasnt UNWATCHABLE like now, those guys cared about winning and were classy.

Now its a bunch of thugs running up and down out for themselves. NBA sucks. ANY of the guys above could have scored 80+ points in a night if they had wanted and if they were selfish PRICKS like Kobe. But they didnt care about that stuff, they cared about rings.

Todays NBA SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS

And Kobe is the poster child of the mess

NBA= :pucking:

Kobe is the only good player on his team. If it were'nt for Kobe, they would have lost. Why down a guy just becuase he had a historic game?

Kobe is awesome - plays on a team with the least talent in the league - when LA had a choice of Shaq or Kobe they made the right choice - Shaq has been near worthless - now he's fat again - does not board - get's back in d every 4th possession - sets up no one - dominates nobody - put Shaq on LA and no Kobe and you are looking a very bad team.

You had a nice list of good guys as long as you left that little punk Isiah off the list! Mahorn or Ruland should have squashed him like a bug except they were too nice and wouldn't! Ask Toronto how they feel about him or Knicks fans in another 6 months or so!

Kobe's got three rings, give him a decent center and he'll get at least one more, something Shaq will not get!

Mr.Smith is right here.
And neither Kobe nor Chamberlain belong in role model category. Remember Jordan was criticized for being this Kobe-like early on, until he saw the light. Shaq shouldn't've made up with him, he shoulda kicked his punk ass.

I will agree with the fact he is not a great role model

But 81 points?! That is insane, we have witnessed a serious piece of history!

Also, Wilt had a serious size advantage, KOBE DID IT AS A GAURD. It's just amazing to me, I wish I had seen the game. It ought to be an instant make for ESPN CLASSIC.

I wouldn't call Rob a scumbag, he may not be Jesus Christ, but he's all right in my book! Good Luck staying out of jail though, Rob! :lolBIG:
