are any books at all regional. Maybe a certain book advertised a lot on radio in a certain market for some reason, or some had LOCAL roots in certain places, or had offices that we don't want to know about in certain markets???
Another thought is that when I play with a small or unheard of book (tons and tons of them out there), I would hope to a certain extent they had some established LOCAL relations just to feel I'd be covered.
Bookies in Pitt will be OK - they're jacking up the line to 4.5 or 5 and they'll still take 80% of their business on the Steelers. Then they'll just lay it off at 3 in Seattle (and vice versa) and make a killing.
I remember last year, sportsbook.com took an approach like this and favored the Patriots by 7 1/2 for almost the whole two weeks. Anyone wanting to take the Eagles surely would have liked that and opened an account there. They had the guts to hang a line like that most of the two weeks and I believe still got 55/45 action on the Pats in the end.
Friend lives in the Pitt area said as of this time the number has not been posted at 2 of his local spots. Said that it will be more than 4 for sure. He thinks that it will be around 5.5 there.
