I have nothing against Olympic but today I look in my mail and got there Jan 2006 sports schedule. While I like free stuff getting a sports schedule on Jan 27th doesn't do alot for me. Looking at the back of it I can see it was mailed out on Jan 10th. Just wanted to let someone know that marketing money can be best used someplace else or the sports schedule could be mailed out before the middle of the month.

Sometimes they do arrive late, but love OLYS schedules.

ps- Received a nice calender and a deck of cards from OLY this week also.............the cards are a great marketing tool imo.

I agree I love them too. Just feel like someone wasn't on the ball there as these things should be sent out a month prior.

Happens with a lot of books. I've never got a schedule from Oly, even requested them.

Mine have occasionally arrived late, but most of the time they arrive when they should. You should let them know when you receive it late - especially that late.

I used to have some spots that I ran when MVP Sportsbook used to put out a schedule, and had all kinds of head butting with their marketing guy, cuz they'd send theirs out mid month as well, and you'd get the schedule with like a week left in the month.
They believed (listen to how stupid some of these non betting people can be) that is best to be the LAST company to get schedules out, and then people would keep em and use theirs instead of the others...I told em that for me it is JUST THE OPPOSITE. I'd be more likely to use the FIRST good one I got as once you start tracking games, that book would be good to use.... not to mention if I ran ads on the early pages of the books, NO ONE WOULD EVEN SEE EM.... I know your frustration, but know that, it may actually be a calculated move by the books....just not sure who did those calculations !!

I suspect that Oly uses an outside marketing company to handle this stuff. They may not even be aware of how late, how many of these are being sent out.

Interesting, because I received my January schedule the first week of the month. Also received Olympics calendar and deck of cards this past week. Maybe a phone call to customer service might help those that are getting their schedules too late in the month.

Sometimes it's the fault of the post office. Schedules are sent standard mail, standard mail sometimes gets backlogged, or not processed in the proper order depending how inefficient your local postal plant is. It's supposed to be first in, first out...doesn't always happen, I know, used to work there.

its not the POST OFFICE, because you can see what day it was mailed on.....

Brilliant, Drunks playing poker with Olympic cards, good move, Maybe send up calculator or some pens instead of the calendar so we can add and subtract our winnings. Too many calendars and I'm not a calendar person.

I'm in their handicapping program, so they cover the marketing costs. The schedules were "favors" to us..so they were useless, but they were basically covered !!

Olympic has my favorite betting book, really like them, got plenty of space to write my notes in and everything. However I have always got them late more often than on time.

I'm jealous. I've got my calendar and the sports schedule usually arrives by the 10th day of the month but have never received a pack of cards.

Got the cards and calendar today too.

My two year old dropped the 8 of diamonds and 5 of clubs into an otherwise already destroyed toilet, if you get my drift.

I asked him if that was some kind of tell and he told me wanted to watch Nemo again.

Oh well.
