I wrote another response in the college hoops section, but to repeat Iowa has been money at home, but Ohio State is good on the road. And another fact I just remembered, Ohio State plays very well at Carver Hawkeye arena. Although I'm an avid Hawk fan, I don't have a good feel about this game. I thought Iowa played about as well as they can in the second half against Indiana, but the Hoosiers didn't play well and Killingsworth was on the bench for over 10 minutes. If I bet the game, I'll probably take the points.

Released IOWA -2.5 in the Tracker Forum earlier today.

They hold a slim 40-36 lead at the half currently.

ps- Had Southern Illinois -4.5 also, easy winner.

Iowa is top 5 in the nation in FG% Defense....don't expect too many teams to score points on them. And they are not a great scoring team so should have plenty of unders. Iowa holding serve on home floor, very big today. There has only been one big road win for Big 10 this year and that was MSU winning in double OT at Ohio St. Hold serve at home and win a couple big on the road is the key to winning the Big 10.

4th to be exact

The Hawkeyes shot 42 percent and held the Buckeyes to 35 percent shooting. It was another typical game for Iowa's defense, which came into the game allowing opponents to shoot just 37 percent, fourth best in the nation.

This is no fluke.......

Hanson has turned into a shot blocker deluxe, Brunner is a rock in the paint, and Haluska, Henderson, and Thomas have great athletic ability.

What a race in the BIG TEN currently.........

Fish:

what do ya think about Alfords future? Man, next year looks weak from who is returning and what they have brought in ...

This looks like a Sweet 16 if they can stay healthy w/the way they play Defv and the senior leadership on this squad

Lets get on a roll and maybe they can shock some folks in March

Football looking sweet come next fall: One of the Top 5 qb/rb combos in the country .. a great corp of TEs .. a defv front line that is gonna be fine indeed ... another nice crop of recruits after last years Top 10 class ... 7 starters back on both sides of the ball and a very doable schedule that lines up for a very memorable season

Drew Tate will prove why he is the alltime passing leader in Texas high school and Albert Young will soon be a household name with a running style that reminds me of Roger Craig .. one of the top wideouts in Texas is allready on campus and a real gem wideout from Ohio that was redshirted should contribute substantially in the fall ... the line is young but loaded with talent and Capt Kirk will do his magic and that will eventually become one of the top lines in the country ... Iowa picked up the top qb in the Midwest last year and have landed 2 qbs out of Ohio this year that have a lot of potential along with the top kicker in the country who has committed to Iowa along with a wideout they just picked up from Michigan that became a Hawk over Ohio State

Iowa is lined up for their 5th straight New Years appearance this fall ....

Quite frankly, a lot of Iowa fans and media around the country pegged the Hawks to be a national title contender this past season..............something I never bought into considering the fact Iowa was replacing their entire defensive line and had so many breaks the year before.

HOWEVER, nothing LESS than a national title game for the Hawks next year will be a disappointment to this observer. They should come into the seaon ranked 8TH-12th, which actually is where they should be based on talent. However the schedule plays very nicely into Iowas hand next year such where they will have a legit shot at going undefeated.

OHIO State at home and Michigan in the Big House being the two obvious big games.
