Internet Dating Scammers, pretty funny, I'm sure some will fall for it too.

I get this email from a woman who looks like a model from a dating website (who was claiming to be in my local area), so I sent her an instant message a couple days ago, right away I knew she was foreign by the way she typed, right away I called her out as a scammer and that was that.

So today she Im's me again, and admits to me she is 'from' Baltimore but living in South Africa, and planning to arrive back in Maryland on tuesday,lol, so I played a long for a little while...I asked her how she ended up there and she said she was there searching for her 'mum' and her father left heran 'apartment' after he died, back here in Md....LOL, she even went as far as to ask me if I would pick her up at the airport.

I asked her a few more questions, she kept hinting that she was sad about something, finally she tells me she is ashamed to admit it but she can't leave her hotel because of money owed, she goes as far as sending me her supposed flight information...I should have continued the game just to see how much she would have asked for.

They probably have a boiler room over there in Nigeria where these people IM 3-4 people at a time....It's got to work on some people.

i once had someone try to tell me over the im that they currently lived in south africa. and a rich U.S. business man had a private plan crash and died. she had his bank acct number and he had no living relatives or so i was told lol. all she needed was a person in the us to transfer the $$$ too. i played along for awhile... there must be some dumb people out there.

NOT even I am dumb enough to fall for this. although i woulda kept "playing around" with "her" and led her on even more. i would have told her i would have picked her up at the airport and givne her whatever money she needed then - and then strung her along even more.

You could have asked her at least for some naked pics before considering whether to send her money, yes?
