Is anyone thinking of staying away from wagering on the SuperBowl. Since most major games don't go the way they should or expected.

I've thought about it, but it never happens.

Thanks,

Even if you don't think there's value in the main line, check out all of the props surrounding it and you can still find something worth betting.

Just another game in the thousands that are played yearly.

No need to make a wager if one does not like the game itself.

As mentioned, with the hundreds of props available, one should easily be able to find something that strikes their fancy if needed.

Personnally I have to have some sort of $ on the game just for general principle. Sure it is not considered sharp to bet a game just because it is there but hey it's the Super Bowl. Without a bet riding the somewhere the game will lose it's luster for me. I can pass games all year with no problem but for some reason I get caught up in Super Bowl fever - kind of like a gamblers Christmas spirit if you will..

Right now I am still not sure what I will bet but am looking into a possible play on dog on the money line. FWIW I will post the play later in the week.

I rarely bet more on big games (SB ,WS, etc) anymore just for the sake of doing so...this was and is a huge mistake squares make...I use to be right there, pounding the big game, betting 4-5 times as much as any other bet, big mistake unless you have money to burn and don't care if you lose.

I think most people realize it but do it anyway.

I have won some money in those before, but the one I remember, was in 1980, when Tony Franklin had a chippy field goal blocked for Philly against Oakland. He makes it, I win $250. I was in college, so that was alot of money at the time. Come to think of it, it would be a nice hit now.

I have a large position on Pitt -3.5 right now. May or may not use some of it on a middle shot if\when the 4.5's start showing up.
