See my thread about hockey u/o from yesterday. Was trying to make a point on the number of times things like that happen in the NHL since the new rules.

5 goals now, what was that under again? Like the other guy said I hope it's 13. Can Tampa get some of those goals, I've got them on the ML.

Wouldn't that be 76 seconds ? Must be a record to start a game.

The way I figured it the first goal was scored at 32 seconds and 2 more followed with the last being at 1:16 so thats how I figure 44 seconds

I take it as 1 minute and 16 seconds into the game, 60 +16= 76.

I'm thinking in terms of how far into the game to record 3 goals, not how much time between the 3 goals. I'd think that 3 goals in the 1st 76 seconds of the game must be a record, I believe that's more remarkable than 3 goals in 44 seconds because you can get a bunch at the end of games with empty nets. I recall somebody's bat beat story about 3 goals in the last 20 seconds, or something like that.

I can't recall a game ever starting so fast scoring.

NHL dont keep that record in their record book only goes up to fastest 2 goals to start a game that was 24 seconds.

But personally I think the guy that scored a hat trick in 21 seconds is more remarkable then 3 goals to start a game in 1:16 seconds.
