Wow ...

a guy never drafted by ANY fantasy league is HOFer ... sad indeed

Aikman is one of the most over hyped qbs and to see him in the HOF is really sickening ..

Please, lets talk reality ... Aikman has SB rings ... guys like Sonny Jurgenson do not EOD

Being a member of the HOF means little with Aikman going in on the 1st ballot

Everybody forgets when GQ Magazine reported Aikman was queer! He quickly got married after that ! :lolBIG: P.S. Jurgenson easily, much better than Aikman!

He gets in just because it's precedent. He is the present-day Bart Starr or Bob Griese

The guy was consistent and a had a good arm. I don't even like the Cowboys but I think he should get in.

3 time SB Champ, SB MVP, most wins for a QB in any decade, Aikman has to be in....although I will say this his stats are very average, passer rating low 80's TD to INT ratio not all that great (in his era)

Had he not been on the Cowboys and won 3 SBs he would not make it, you cannot take that away though, he is obviously in.

wow, apparantley you guys forgot the most important aspect of being a QB, winning. Any one who thinks Aikman is not a HOF just has no clue what the NFL HOF is all about, it's about winners, and yes if brady retired now he would be a first ballot HOF too. Football is the ultimate team sport, and the biggest number that matters is wins, and superbowls. Lets not forget, in his prime he was one of the most accurate passers to play the game, and managed the game like no other. If Aikman is not a first Ballot HOF then there is no such thing.

The Cowboys didn't pile up the points like the 49ers did, and they were a run first team.

Aikman was a very good deep ball passer though.

I hate the cowboys, but aikman was in a different class than randall. Randall wasn't a winner, he just put up good stats on ok teams. Aikman was the definition of a winner. He had a good enough team around him so he was up 20 points in the fourth quarter and never had to put up big numbers in the 4th quarter to pad his career stats.

Anyone that ever watched football during that era knows who was better. It wasnt even close. Aikman also had emmit smith who hogged many of the TDs and action. Cunningham didnt have to share the ball with a HOF RB.

Randall was given much better defenses as far as the team went, but his offensive line was HORRID. He also never had the benefit of a running game. He was the running game.

Randall still did just fine at Minnesota as a passer when he was given a running game and offensive weapons even at the end of his career...he did plenty of winning there (just not in the playoffs).

and apparently you missed out where most of the game aikman turned around and handed the ball to #22 and that was that

aikman belongs in the "Hall fo Very Good"

Hall of Fame?

NO WAY

but having said that he is a LOCK to be chosen in a few days along with Racist Reggie White

The NFL Hall of Fame is a 1st class joke!!!! Half the Pittsburgh Steelers would not be in the hall had thay not played for Pittsburgh.

You cant tell me that Aikman was better than Archie Manning, Warren Moon, Cunningham etc........

Vinney Testaverde was a better QB than Aikman. If he would have played his prime in Dallas insteed of Tampa and Cleveland he would have 3 SuperBowl rings too.

There are several people in the Dallas organization who felt the Cowboys played better football under Steve Berline when Aikman was hurt.

That's enough to get him in. Sometimes it's about the big picture of the accomplishments than personal stats. Not saying it's right, but there will be a lot of people who immediately say yes if they know those #'s.

aikman may not have had great stats but had he not played for such a great team he could have put up those stats, he played for the win and not for those stats, he had a cannon on him and was extremely accurate, he threw the intermediate and long ball to novacek and harper, respectively, as well as anyone in the game could, and you are entitled to your opinion, but i would like to see one thing that shows why testaverde would have been a better qb on that team, vinny always made the one big mistake to hurt his team, that was what aikman didnt do, and one last thing, last time i checked, not being drafted onto a fantasy team doesnt disqualify you from the hof

I started this thinking yes.........but then got the stats below top 20 in 4 categorys. attempts, completions, yards and td's

Besides Aikmans stats he has the thing great qb's need to be considered really great, multiple super bowl wins. Unitas, Starr, Staubach, Bradshaw, Farve, Montana, Young, Elway, Brady.........and the exception Marino who's a cinch because of his stats....sb or not.

But.....upon further review, maybe not. It doesn't say much when the only category's you are in...is attempts (17) and completions (12).,.,.not yards or td's. Still if kelly got in....isn't aikman comprable? Tarkenton?

What about Testeverde?
