I got Pittsburgh at -3.5 for a large amount, if this wasn't the superbowl I would be relaxed, this should be a blow out, but there hasn't been a blow out since the giants-ravens game 5 years ago, I really beleive because of the huge advertising money involved, that the refs will not let this game get out of hand and keep it close like the last few years, there used to be blowouts all the time in the superbowl, that's why I am hammering pitt in the first half also, I just think the superbowl has become a buisness and the NFL will do it's best to keep the game close and people watching if you know what I mean.

TB destroyed OAK the following year...no way the NFL advertising plays any part in this.

In fact if game stinks the women rally together to look forward to the commercials. Happens all the time. They clean almost invisible to the male eye during the game and when we are wizzing away at a break they huddle together for the commercials.

#6 seed is 5 favorite over #1 seed, that is too goofy. Seattle or pass. Pitt -174 and Sea +7.5 -135 for me.

You're second guessing yourself.

Two questions to ask yourself before you pull the trigger on a bet:

1. Who do you think will win?

2. And if your answer is the favorite, will they cover the spread?

Very simple.

For what it's worth...

I think Pitt will win AND I think they'll cover.

"There hasnt been a blowout in SB since the Ravens, and a favorite hasnt covered since the Ravens"

More reason to love the Steelers IMO

Well let me put a little more fear into you! I analyze the lines, and there sure is something fishy about this one! OK, you might have the line at 3.5, and I realize that you can still get this number at Skybook. Their first half line is 2.5. At CRIS the line is 4 with a 3 first half line.

But let's take a look at each quarters line. EACH quarter line is -.5, which only adds up to 2! Well goddamn, if you like the Steelers, you should be beting the sh*t out of each quarter! NO? Doesn't this NOT make sense to you? It sure doesn't make sense to me, as Wayne Allyn Root would say!

How could they possibly make each quarter only a 1/2 when the full game is 4, or in your case 3.5?

It seems to me that the oddsmaker is wanting you to take the Steelers, and they are screwing you for the first half line, and sucking you in on each quarter! If you like the Steelers, you would just HAVE to take them in each quarter also as you are getting quite an edge!

That's just my viewpoint on the line!

Poopah, I'm in pretty much the same boat (fully expecting it to cross 4....or at least was).

NFL Alternate High at Pinnacle. But the current line is +7.5 (-167)

That's what I mean. World of difference between -167 and -135.

I don't mean I am scared to lose the money, beleive me steeler's are the bet, I never bet money I can't afford to lose, I just don't want the damn refs to make this a close game, you know what they say about the nfl, never bet on a team hoping that they might lose but cover the spread, bet on who you think will win the game, the team who wins straight up covers the spread over 70% of the time.

What do you mean you don't want the refs to make this a close game. This isn't the 85 Bears here. I can't believe I'm even posting on this thread

I think the refs will want to keep it a close game too. They have a major interest in making sure people stay for the 2nd half because that way, more people watch the Bud Light commercial slated for the 4th quarter, and we all know how refs feel about increasing Bud Light sales.

The question is, can the Steelers blowout the Seahawks AND THE REFS? I think Seattle covers.

Sea +5.5 is available at pinny -119, +5 -114 Pit at -5 +100

I think Pit wins and makes it look easy. Sea was awful away from the friendly and noisy confines of their homefield

Awful? Aside from the meaningless GB game where they played their scrubs, Seattle has won their last 5 games on the road. That'd be 5-0. Hardly awful. It's amazing the nonsensical statements that you see people make on the Super Bowl.
