What's %s do you split at if someone's bankrolling you

If someone wants to bankroll you, giving you a % of the winnings and at no cost to you if you lose, what is a typical % to split the winnings at?

I do it in pool all the time and you have to judge the situation, but the norm is 50% each way. I have been on both sides of the fence and the biggest thing is to really know who you are bankrolling, because it is so easy to get "chopped up"

When I bankroll a buddy, or when I get bankrolled we usually just want the intial money and 50% of profit back. If bankrolled person loses money , then nothing gets paid back.

I know he sold 20% to his dad and another 20% to his buddy, but not really bankrolled, he had won the "free entry" and wanted some spending money for LV.

Fischman got started getting BR and now I heard he actually has a whole investment company backing him.

I heard Moneymaker tell the story, When he was down to the final 3 at the tourney to get into the WSOP he was going to dump his chips & finish 3rd. First & second got seats at the WSOP and the 3rd place guy got 8K and Moneymaker needed the 8k.
Well a guy offered to give him 5k so he would have the cash he needed and still be able to play in the WSOP. Moneymaker agreed and won his way to the WSOP. So now the guy backs out and dad & brother step up and help him out. The rest is history.
A side note, he said he offered Sam Farhar a split when it was heads up. Moneymaker had a sizable chip lead at the time and Sammy refused.
