Really sweet numbers at these shops........as many as ever.

Picked off Hofstra today at -1.5 when the entire world was at -2 or higher........now -2.5 and -3.

Made close to $600 dollars for the month of January just middling and scalping ($100-$200 bets). But the most important thing is how much i learned in just over one month. I have higher expectations for February but a winning month is a winning month, I'll take it.
As I get better at this I have been looking at first halfs/halftime plays(my next project) and was going to ask you (didn't want to strat a new thread) what value you give for a half point for sides and totals for first half/halftime, so I would know the "standards" for a profitable middle. I have my own ideas but want to confirm. Thanks

Now just imagine if you had done the exact same wagers except you were betting the MAX every time at the lower max book. Probably would have made 5-10X as much. If you're going to work as hard as you do you might as well have your money work for you. Might be worth taking out a loan if necessary. $600 sounds like a pretty weak payoff for the amount of work your undertaking. Good luck.

GREAT example tonight of having NINE.COM as an out.

They sported HOFSTRA at -1.5 when most of the world was at -2 on its way up to -3.

RESULT--HOFSTRA wins by 2.

Nice hit, Fish. Too bad you didn't middle it.

If Nine wasnt a great out, why else would people bitch and moan about being booted?

One nameless person trashed nine.com because his limits were cut and tried to get others to not play there. Then Wil helped him restore his limits, and he's back playing there and suddenly they're not so bad after all.

I love it there because I can always get AT LEAST a half point variation fron the generic lines for most games.

if the rest of the books were at 3, at nine was at 1.5, based on their track record, you can never know for sure if they will cancel a wager because they will justify that it is a bad line. if you continually bet these favorable lines, wont they kick you out or limit you severely? should players have to go through this extra hassle and concern?

They were at -1.5 when the majority were at -2............not -3........or even -2.5 for that matter.

Incorrect - Nine.com explained that the 1st. half wagers Al Swearengen made today were not meant to be offered at reduced juice. An error was made by the person loading the games into the software. The plays were not cancelled under any bad line rule. A simple human error led to the bets being cancelled. In fact the bets were only 5 cents different from the line available without reduced juice.

They do NOT kick people out for betting favorable lines.

The DO kick people out for chasing steam.

Think of the classic Yogi Berra line: NOBODY GOES THERE ANYMORE, ITS TOO CROWDED. You refuse to play there because they will boot you? That makes no sense. If they boot you, they still pay you - so even if you get the boot, you're right back where you are now - not using them as an out.

i refuse to play there because every week there is a complaint of some sort against this book and the moderators have to intervene. also, the idea of telling players that you cant bet a certain way at a book is ridiculous. it also bothers me tremendously about the mybookie fiasco. again, most people say vip backs them, they are solid. who cares about the past? in my opinion, that is a pretty lame and short sighted and does a disservice to the books who do things the right way.

i dont play steam, i dont subscribe to donbest. i just play my own plays. i know that nine is not the book for me, and based on the numerous posts and complaints about this book, its hard for me to understand how people think this is a top book. however, as everyone likes to say, you will get paid, so i guess in the end, thats all that matters to most posters here.

Actually, I care more about the extinction of the blue whale and the gradual detioration of swampland in Congo, but that is besides the point ...

... because when I gamble, all I care about is winning money, not becoming Mother Theresa and confronting poverty.

(PS: When I am eating, all I care about is food. When I am at a theater, all I care about is the movie ... and the list goes on)

interesting nine.com had - 1.5 only until about 11:00 am central maybe 12:00 noon I cant swear by it but then it went to -2 on my account anyway ealy afternoon and then soon after was - 2 1/2. I know as I played the - 2 1/2 (best I could find) at reduced juice bet trojan at -105 and not at nine.com who had - 2 1/2 -110 at 1:35 pm central time.

dealing 2 lines?

great everybody loves nine. they cater to losers and to the small player. lets also be honest. people play there because of their big bonuses. otherwise, this book could not compete with the top books. if you fit this profile, play there. trust me, i am concerned about winning, and for the serious bigger player out there, nine is not a quality out. but if you are a small player, by all means play there.

however, if nine is such a great out, why does this book have constant complaints about them in all the posting forums? i guess its something to consider.

you bettor hope it wasnt an operator error, or your wager will be cancelled. Me thinks you would have a different attitude if/when they cancel some of your plays.

I played Hofstra this morning at NINE when it was 1.5. My other books all had 2.
