Even though Denver and Buffalo got destroyed in a bunch of games, I don't think they were bad teams. Especially some of those Buffalo teams, they just ran into superior NFC teams.

But I would have to say either the 94 Chargers or the 79 Rams. Possibly the 85 Patriots too, all the world would have killed to have seen Bears vs Dolphins in an epic rematch there...

What opinions do you all have?

Honorable mention has to go to the 99 Falcons too, what the hell were they even doing there???

That should have been 15-1 Minnesota vs Denver!!

I actually think the 75 Cowboys, record wise, are the worst ever. Can someone correct me on this?

rams... i forgot the year...vince ferragamo was the qb

Actually the Rams gave the mighty Steelers all they could handle in that Super Bowl. I remember it well because I was at The Rose Bowl that day. 1979 season game was played in Jan of 1980.

A very late Franco Harris TD and a missed xpoint allowed the Steelers to get away with the cover by a half point.

wil..

75 Dallas (10-4 WC) wasn't a likely Super Bowl team, people forget...they finished with 4th best record in the NFC, the Rams and Minnesota were very good teams that season, both 12-2...That was the Hail Mary game, they stunned Minnesota 17-14.

Minnesota and the Rams had great defensive teams that year.

That '96 Pitt team "featuring" the talents of Bam Morris, Yancy Thigpen and Neal O'Donnell (3 ints, the "Larry Brown lottery jackpot game"). Lost to a Cowboy team filled with aging stars, cokeheads and a bozo of a Coach (Switzer).

I disagree , the 1979 Rams were a decent SB team, they give Pittsburgh trouble in that game, the Steelers were aging on defense by then, and couldn't really stopped Wendell Tyler...dare I say my Steelers were fortunate? no, I won't go that far, but that game was in doubt and the Steelers trailed going into the 4th....

Rams got to the bowl beating unlikely TB (9-0)

They really painted a great picture with SB V, the game was not pretty, I always enjoy that one myself, being the Colts...They make it seem like the players absolutely hated each other back then.

Why is that your personal favorite Brock? I am surprised.

The way it was presented, the hard hitting they showed, basically a pasion for the game can be felt. My dad mentioned something to me years ago too about Rick Volk..he had something happen to him, but i can't recall the story, anyway, he picked off Craig Morton and that led to the winning FG..

It would be something to be able to get the tv coverage from those games today..Like an ESPN classic. Actually surprised the NFL network doesn't air them..

Interesting take Brock, I agree...and with John Facenda , no one better

I have often wondered the same about old NFL broadcasts and why they don't show them in their entirety....pisses me off that they don't.

I believe it has something to do with NFL Films having rights.
