Treo 700 is the brand new model right? I've got mixed feelings about my Treo 650 -- shitty for practical phone use (the Swap/call-waiting feature absolutely sucks) but the features like the web browser and the picture phone are pretty cool. Any idea how the 700 model differs from the 650?

a lot of new features are on it...the most difference is it running on windows OS, instead of palm.

I love it, I would def. look into it, go to your local verizon or best buy and check it out:103631605

The only really objective way to view them is have a 650 and 700 side by side or be a user of the 650 and try out the 700. I think you will find the 650 looks better and works generally better, but the 700 is good if you really want to work with the mini Office products. Lots of choices on the 650 to open and edit Office documents, but they still don't look and feel like Office.

It does suck to be stuck with Verizon. They have a good network, but they really charge you for it when it comes to data. Probably an excellent choice if your work is going to spring for a PDA phone, but for personal users I would venture a guess that the 650 is a far better value. Especially now as the prices are coming down on the 650.

Is there any handheld device yet that lets you browse any (or most) websites in broadband wireless speed?

Ppeter, verizon EV DO network is blazing for a PDA.

TREO 700 has many flaws. tell me in a week how many hard resets youve done Im guessing several.

I have the 650 and have serious problems syncing my contacts etc with Microsoft Outlook.

The people who have Treo's at work create dup's in our contacts database about 20% of the time when they sync their phones.

No sync issues for me, but I don't use Outlook. Cingular has a program called Xpress Mail that syncs with my work Lotus Notes database. Works great (well, as good as Lotus Notes works, that is).
