I bet Fordham 1st half ML for the max at pinny....like 1000 to win 500(-215)

Then I got back for more and its -235...so i do the same thing...

then I go back and check it and its -255

this was all within the 3 minutes that I bet these 3...

Does it move that quick just because of one player?

Not hard to believe, a couple limit bets on an over night first half line they can afford to move it like that since their hols on those options are high enough that taking a buy back isn't really going to work for you all that well. At -235, I have to think the other side then went to about +210, and at -255, it was probably only +220(they more than likely shaded. So even with your -215 bet locked in you were only going to get a nickle on the intial, and when that bet went in, you were not going to be able to get anything positive on the second one at -235.

So for them anyone taking a shot could have their "nickle" because at that point they were still "paying" -230. And any action coming in the other way from others was balancing them off. Pinnalce has HUGE holds on their halftime stuff, so thinking someone moves lines isn't as far fetched as people think even at Pinnacle.

I've moved it 14 cents with a $100 limit bet.

Overnights will be very volatile, especially for max bets, since your action will be a much larger fraction of the total betting pool. By morning the same bet will have less effect. Now if I could only figure out whether I was getting a good O/N price or whether it was better to wait until morning.

it depends what TYPE of event aswell.....

recently I placed 250$ on the Green Party for the Canadian Elections at +2000, after my 250$ bet the line moved to +1250.

of course you could probably place 25000 on the superbowl & not even move it one point.
