They should have the REFS hoist the trophy, Pittsburgh should clear the field.

The Refs won this game. They should each get rings, not Pittsburgh and the TV announcers should interview them to hear about their long roads to success and victory. The referees are Super Bowl Champions! :dancefool

Congratulations to them!

First Super Bowl victory ever for a referee crew.

I hope at least they gave the MVP award to that back judge who kept fucking Seattle all night long.

I hope they didnt make a desperate reach to find a Steeler player who deserved it and came up probably with Willy Parker. Guy was a blip, zero all game and ran thru a hole once.

no Coach LT, I already knew. I watched that FSU-FL game at a casino in Vegas. I didnt bet the game, guess I didnt like FSU that day and was watching just as a fan. Their was one guy at the bar in this casino who was rooting HARD for Florida. I dont think he was in any way a gator fan, but it being Vegas, he had money on Florida. I absolutely felt bad for the guy, he got fucked out of his bet. I was pumped up when Rix hit that TD pass to win the game with under a minute left, but sure I realized the game was a travesty. I mean it was a train wreck to watch that game and I know what its like to get fucked out of money by refs, especially with the blatant reminder tonight.

Another ACC ref screw job this week in hoops to protect the Dookies at home vs FSU. 42 free throws for dookies, 12 for FSU. ACC refs are paid to promote traditional ACC teams and screw the rest of the league. FSU gets jobbed in the ACC REGULARLY, football and hoops. As bad as the ACC refs are, they did get a little carried away that day at Florida. But Florida got their own swindle in versus Iowa.

Was that an ACC crew working the Superbowl tonight? Sure feels like it

With all due respect, there is no comparison between the two games. This game was a game of questionable calls that all seemed to go one way. The FSU-Fla game was a fix. 100 times worse.

There no bigger FIX, than the FSU game, this game was close though. I hate even thinking that refs fix games, just too much hapened in these two particular games.

no Illini, this game was just as bad or worse. Both games had horrid calls that ALL were against one team and completely kept them from any chance of victory.

With fair calls, Seattle wins that game, probably by more than 7. Same for FSU game. With fair calls, Florida wins probably by more than 7

There were two major calls in this game that loomed large and affected the outcome....the holding and the offensive pass interference. The FSU-Fla game had 5 fumble-no fumble calls that all went one way and were all blantantly wrong. This game does not compare. The two major calls were questionable, but acceptable, even though I didn't agree with them. I had Seattle, so I'm not happy, but there is no comparison. I was involved in both games financially, and lost both. I feel disappointed now, but I felt violated then.

I felt violated then and I feel bad now, more disappointed at how bad the NFL product has become though, between the rule changes and the lack of quality officiating, its not the same.

Atleast some of the announcers are pointing out the obvious.

Illini,

one differnce in the games. The FSU Florida game did not have review. If it did, since many of the screw calls were on fumbles, they would have been corrected.

This game had review and Seattle still got fucked. Seattle wasnt turning the ball over and getting screwed on those calls but the refs were chucking flags whenever it would hurt Seattle most. That is suspicious.

The biggest flags in this game, about 5-6 of them WERE ALL AGAINST SEATTLE AT CRUCIAL TIMES AND WERE ALL ASININE.

It's obvious that Pitt got the breaks, but that's part of the game. Officials are human beings, and as long as they are doing their best, that's all we can ask. Sometimes the calls go your way, and sometimes they don't. That's sports. I still love sports.

The refs weren't doing their best today unless your best means making sure the popular choice wins. You are right though, the officials are part of the game and they unfortunately made the biggest mark on the game. I guarantee every water cooler conversation tomorrow will be almost nothing but talk about the refs. That isn't the way it should be.

We'll all still watch even if its half rigged like the NBA, but still I haven't been so disgusted with a sporting event since when the Kings got raped by the NBA and its officials in game 6 against the Lakers some years ago. That one was more blatant favoritism than this one, but then again it wasn't on the biggest stage of the year in American sports.

I still remember the Kings-Lakers rape job. Incredible performance by the refs. It was as if a World Wrestling Federation crew worked the game.

I especially liked the play very late when all of the fuck-job calls had seemingly buried the Kings, but a late spurt had given them just a gleam of hope with very little time left and the Lakers were inbounding the ball.

Kobe HEAD BUTTED Bibby trying to get open to receive the in-bound pass and split Bibbys lip and a foul was called ON BIBBY to send Kobe to the line to ice the game for the Lakers. That was a classic ref-fuck job.

But I still would rank this SuperBowl as the all-time fuck job. Seattle should have won by more than 10 points. But its hard when the refs take everything they did well back on screw job penalties
