To All:

I came to this forum, strictly as a follower, sweating out $10 bets, chasing my losses, and not having any clue of what a unit even was.

About 4 years later, I'm capping games successfully and giving advice.

After my:
-NBA season last year
-college baseball killing in which I quadrupled my account
-this year's College Football Bowl Season and National Title Game
-This year's NFL Playoffs and tonight's huge Super Bowl win with Pitt
- many, many, many trailed plays off of a lot of you here....

I have enough of a bankroll to increase my unit size from $50 to $100.

Couldn't have done it without all of you guys. So a sincere thank you to everyone here for making this both an educational and very profitable website.

Thanks again

Not sure about that one. Depends on the game.

I remember last year they had some regular season games on ESPNU and ESPN2 regular season, so those had lines. Olympic was great at putting some lines up, and they were by far the best college baseball book. I think every year the amount of lines they put up increases, they even had props which I had never really seen before.

Overall, I think they are getting better with experience at setting lines. College bases have already started, havnt seen any lines yet, but I'll keep on the lookout. And if they set anything remotely close to those lines they set last year, I'll be sure to let you know.

Thanks, very good advice.

It should be noted that you are one of the people I trailed/trail exclusively. It's people like you that bring your knowledge and experience to the table, take time to post your selections, and help people like me start with 10 dollar bets, to eventually establishing a bankroll large enough to support $100 units.

Beyond that you've taught a lot of people, including myself, how to handle things with class. You've also set a great example of the importance and effect of a good write-up: never lead followers blind folded, and always offer a basis for discussion.

Since the day I learned what a unit was, I've always strived for $100 units, and I doubt I'll ever go higher than $100, regardless of my bankroll. I just felt it was a big milestone for me, and it definitely wouldnt have happened without this forum. Thanks again.

I'm in the same boat as you. I started out betting $10 units a few years back and then started reading theRX. I went to $50 units and now am at $100. Thanks to all who have helped me without asking anything in return. I hope I have given back at least the same amount in return.

its a comfort thing..

i started out in 1986, with $20 bets..

gradually moved all the way to $100 bets, then $200 and now after thousands of games and years later, im at $500 per game.. never thought that id leave the $100-$200 level either...

stay wherever your comfortable...

Exactly. to me, this is everything.

If you are sweating out games every night, this racket becomes WAY too much like work. If you are like me, you watch sports to relax and forget the tensions of life, and the last thing you want to do is turn that into a 2nd job.

Looking forward to getting a couple of CWSeries winners this spring.

I understand most views on money management and increasing units according to bankroll but when do you start to take some money off the table. I'm sure it is a personal thing based on goals but do you leave the money grow in the account or take out a withdrawl and some point?:monsters-
