ACC suspends FSU-Duke officiating crew

Greensboro, NC (Sports Network) - The Atlantic Coast Conference Monday suspended three officials for one game because of an incorrect call in Saturday's contest between second-ranked Duke and Florida State.
ACC coordinator of basketball officials John Clougherty stated that a technical foul given to Florida State's Alexander Johnson during the second half should not have been assessed. Johnson fouled out as a result of the call. Duke wound up winning the game in overtime by a 97-96 score.

Based on this precedent, a Duke game should be the last game officiated for any official.

What about the no call against Duke in the final seconds when Williams raped the BC player going for a layup down 3?

Maybe we all need to start capping the officiating biases more? Not always easy to do before the game.

When Duke plays at home you better take officiating biases into play, they have the biggest homecourt advantage in college BB and it has nothing to do with the crowd.

I was loving it last week on Around the Horn when the blown call at the end of the BC-Duke game came up...and Michael Smith called it complete BS and shouted, "YET ANOTHER REASON TO HATE DUKE!" That pretty much sums it up.

In addition to the fucked up T that they asessed to Johnson, Galloway also got hacked driving to the hoop at the end of the game with a chance to tie. At WORST, it was out of bounds on Shelden Williams...but nope, somehow the ref not only didn't see the foul, but also somehow saw the ball go off Galloway after Williams got his hands in there. Unbelievable...watching a Duke game is unbearable at times.

Where were these same BASTARDS that let Jack Childress and his crew get away with murder in The Swindle in the Swamp game in 03? I swear that if I see Childress on the street by himself, I will become a legend in Gator Country! ACC= Always Cheating Conference. That is just another reason to hate The CRIMINOLES!
