I called in this morning and having Portland Influence gave my take to Compass, evidently the Herd used it :dancefool and the follow up caller chimed in that "the Patriots are still going for a three peat". So you see, it was relavant on what I stated last night. Championship doesn't count and we just start all over again. Now I can go back and appreciate the previous Steeler teams without this recent BS now out of the way :103631605

I do not know if I can appreciate the immaculate reception or illegal touching pass, but this team is a total foisted upon you champs. The other Steeler teams dominated the games and won. They did not need the NFL sponsored zebra assist. This is an Official NFL product.

Great job spreading the word. :toast:

Pittsburgh won the Super Bowl by going into Cincy, Indy, and Denver and beating their asses up and down the field.

Nah, its just that beating Indy in Indy WAS the Super Bowl, after that it was a foregone conclusion who the best team in football was

And just like in Munich, if the losing team would have played the type of game they were capable of playing, they wouldn't have put themselves in a position where the officials could "steal" the game from them. You cannot blame it all on the officials. To be a champion you have to overcome that, just like you have to overcome every other obstacle during the course of the season.

The Stealers overcame everything that was thrown at them the last 8 games of the season, and that's why I recognize them as Superbowl champions.

Here's a news flash for you: nobody gives a rat's ass if you don;t recognize the Steelers victory. 5 - 10 - 25 years from now it will say Pittsburgh Steelers 2005 Champions and that's all that matters.

Actually, they might not have won in '79 if Jackie Smith hadn't dropped that TD pass, so I'm not going to recognize that one either.

Seriously, this is fucking asinine.
