NFL spokesman Greg Aiello announced that NFL executives were " Shocked and appalled" that Jerome Bettis was not voted game MVP as the league had planned.

The league plans a full investigation into the MVP voting and vows to press the investigation of MVP voters who did not vote for Bettis to the full extent, no matter where it may lead.

" We are evaluating the entire MVP process at this point", Aiello said. " This disobeying of direct league mandates by the press and fans cannot be allowed to ever happen again".
