He just looked guilty when they asked him about his wife. "Oh, really? I don't know, you'd have to ask her." He later talked about his love for his wife, and how she's his best friend. She's your wife and your best friend, but you haven't asked her about the allegations? I guess this really isn't a big deal, if all he was doing was betting on games, and wasn't betting on hockey. But you bet your ass he knows more than he is letting on.

I agree in this case, but there are a lot of wives out there who don't there husbands are gambling. But here, surely Janet gets her inside info, or any info for that matter, from insiders, if not from her husband then his cronies.

Tough call-Wayne looks 1/2 guilty in every interview even when he has done nothing wrong.

Does anyone really believe that it was his wife making the plays? I have a really tough time buying it, and I assume that I'm not alone.

Thank GOD they don't have any pucks plays on record.

Well since they weren't betting on hockey I could totally see her placing a couple of bets. As for hockey bets, I am a firm believer that anyone who is as involved as these guys were in hockey they would absolutely suck at betting on the sport. Charles Barkley even says as much, he will bet thousands and thousands of dollars on boxing or football, but says he won't bet a dime on basketball. Why? He says its too unpredictable to bet on.

This was all just recreational betting. Of course it is against the law so it has raised all this trouble, but for people to think there was anything sinister going on here is crazy. These are competitive people with more money than they know what to do with. That some discretionary income found its way into a bookie isn't exactly stunning stuff.

Very EASY for the Coyotes to throw lastnights game.......a -1.5 goal favorite.

They lost 3-1

By the way, took the Blackhawks lastnight thinking that the Coyotes would come out somewhat flat...............watched the entire game and they were FLAT as a pancake the entire evening until they got into a sense of urgency in the last 5 minutes of the game.

Wayne never cracked a smile the entire evening.

Too eazy to bet offshore with computer. Lots of risk betting with local guy. There will be interesting fallout but Janet is clearly a beard here.

The case involves Rick Toochet and a NJ state trooper. Whoever was making the bets will get off with merely a fine or probation at the worse. It's bad PR yes but aslong as they haven't bet on hockey then there is no need to hang them out to dry for doing what millions of other people do right or wrong and if you think its wrong then I would question why you visit a website like this in the first place.
