If somehow sports betting became totally legal in the US and the Nevada Sportsbooks were allowed to offer internet wagering like MGM.com or Stardust.com would most people rather have that with -110 lines or would you still sneak off to Pinnacle and Hollywood where the juice is better but illegal?

One more thing. If it ever became legal, do you think the US goverment would grant licenses to the Pinnacles of the world and let these companys set up shop in the US?

Illegal?

If it indeed it WERE ILLEGAL, I guess they would rather play with the Stardust/MGM/Ceasers.

Fact is, there is no federal law that states wagering offshore is ILLEGAL.

Im talking about the Wire Act. Thats a very gray area. There are many state laws that prohibit sports betting.

With the Arizona senator, and now the Hockey scandal, I think this is a very valid question. My guess is most would rather deal with a US book

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

Ask people in Vegas?? Many gamble offshore to get a better bang for your buck and the casino's don't readily take your credit card either. Of course not leaving your house is the best reason but they do have a choice.

Vegas would be somewhat competitive if they didn't have the regulators screw up the phone betting. If I could call up and place a bet without a pager and the hassle I would do it more often because you can get some juicy lines from the local shops. After all last Sunday the only place in the world I saw 4.5 was at Stations.

Well the USA would come to the front of the list for me, until i found a better number offshore. Sometimes the number does matter!
ALL the smaller players in Las Vegas stop by or call in, and ALL the BIG players went offshore long ago. So i really dont see that changeing.
