With MLB right around the corner , we're looking to get a good season long MLB contest similar to the NFL Pick 4 contest, no gimmicks, props, team of the week etc...just capping the games...

Choptalk and myself are in, anyone seriously interested sign in, and also let me know what would be a good post up for this contest...another issue, since baseball is everyday, is the amount of selections and lines we will use.

Yes, Yes, Yes!!!!!!!!!!

The sportsbook that we use would be important. 10c lines a must. $250 to $500 would be a good entry fee. Dont want to be forced to post plays every single day. Something like 25 to 30 plays a month would be ok as long as you dont have to post picks daily.

i would consider it .

i would say everybody has to pick 30 games a month . no more , no less.

dont have to pick everyday . just 30 in the month.

i think if you lower the entry fee to $ 150 , you might get more players.

at $ 300 , i doubt you will get even 10 .

another way is like one i was in a few years back .

everybody started with a 5 grand bankroll .

you had to play atleast 100 plays during the conetst. you could play as many as 3 plays on any given day .

you could also play them as 1 ,2 or 3 units .

this contest didnt run the entire season . it ran for about 4 months .

the person who made the most money won . ( or lost the least money )

it was the most realistic contest i have ever been in.

You can count me in. My suggestion is that we are allowed a range of picks per month (ie. 30-50), and every game is exactly 1 unit. The person who finishes ahead by the most units wins. Not sure about a post up amount......maybe $200 is the right balance.

not a bad idea, but why do we need an imaginary BR, I'm trying to follow what the reason behind starting at $0 or 5K would matter?

just how he did it .

i would guess he wanted it to seem like you were actually making the plays with your money .

you dont start at 0 with a sportsbook and start betting.

it wouldnt matter .

you would get less than 6 players at a $ 500 entry .

300 is probably the best figure to attract 10-15 players...it is a long season we have to make it worth it.

I'd be in if it's a $300 postup and above.

It would be very nice to find a book to sponsor it and to match some money to the prize pool.

I have a friend or 2 that might be interested in joining this contest. They are not members of this site. They have 0 post. Is there a post minimum?
