for punting on 4th and 12 with 6 minutes left and down 11 points? That was the worst coaching decision Ive ever seen. Why is he getting away with making this bonehead move in a huge game? Arent the odds better to actually get the 15 yards then punting, holding the Steelers and scoring twice with 6 minutes remaining? I say Holmgren is a terrible big game coach. That was the most pathetic decision Ive ever seen in my life. why is he getting away with it?

It's a sad day in sports when terrible play calling is over shadowed by terrible reffing. If the game would not have been blown by the stripes, he would have taken more heat. Hasselback did choke as well though.

I totally agree. Im watching Inside the NFL right now and I really dont think the calls were that bad. Ben may or may not have been over, but to overturn the call, the play is supposed to be conclusive. The Steelers would have gone for it and probably gotten it. As far as the offensive P.I. Although he didnt need to do it in order to get the TD. He did do it. He pushed off. If that was the defender pushing off, they would have to call it. Mike is an idiot for punting with 6 minutes left and down 11 points. Im still in shock from that one. I mean that was the Super Bowl. They may never get there again and you punt with 6 left down 11? What a terrible decision.

Holmgren also should be criticized for the way he handled the end of the first half, when the Hawks had the ball in Pitt territory and instead of trying to score a T.D. or move into better F.G. range, they let the clock nearly expire and miss a long F.G. And the leave the field with a T-O in hand. The game was not well officiated, but Holmgren also left alot to be desired in his coaching.

BECAUSE EVERY SINGLE DECISION HE HAD TO MAKE WAS AFFECTED BY THE HORRIBLE CALLS

That makes no sense and you know it. With six minutes left and down eleven points he decided to punt on fourth and fifteen. That was his call bud. Refs didnt force him to punt did they? By the way, I saw some terrible calls go in Seattles favor but those aren't mentioned because they lost. How could they call Jerivicious's catch and fumble incomplete? If it was fixed, why would they make that terrible call? It was just as bad as Palomolos INT that was called incomplete. Lets not forget the spearing call that became a no call. The flag was thrown for a good reason and they decided to wave the flag because the game wasnt fixed. Get over it . Seattle didnt make big plays nor did they make the easy plays(Tight End). Holmgren choked!

Holmgren has lowered expectations. I expect a few blatant errors.

The punt and the end of the first half play calling were about par for the course.

It was Stevens, not Jurevicious. Very inconsequential as it was 3rd down and the Seahawks ended up punting on the next play. And that's if Pitt ran the ball down before it went OB, and IF they would have gotten much of a runback.

Bad arguement. When ref made the call, he had no idea what was going to happen.
