To be successful in either requires 99.99% skill to do so successfully longterm.

Luck, bad AND good, will come and go in streaks.

Luck is why you can't hit 60%. Something happens you can't cap for in every game.

Depends how long one lived and how much one bet in that lifetime. If you just bet the Super Bowl once a year I suppose you could get lucky over your lifetime.

Maybe the way to think about it is that there is an inverse relationship between the number of plays and the relevance of luck. The more plays you make the less luck matters and the more skill matters. The opposite is also true. Theoretically though, I imagine the luck relevance factor would never have to reach 0.

I don't believe in luck, so I'd say zero percent.

What is luck?

Luck is when you bet the Super Bowl, you take Pittsburgh, and then find out that the back judge made the same wager.

I disagree slightly. In some cases, even longterm, an individual can simply just be fortunate.

Its comforting to say bad breaks and good breaks will even out over time but its just not that cut and dry. Sometimes it doesn't. You can be blessed or cursed.

Out of 100 games 45 you will be dead wrong on, 45 you will be right on, the last 10 will be the difference between winning an losing long term. So 90% luck.

all Pittsburgh bettors were lucky. Don't tell me you could handicap what happened in that game

Its like the old baseball saying Every baseball team wins 60 games and losses 60 games. Its the other 40 games that make you or breaks you.

Out of 100 plays every better wins 40 and loses 40. What you did in the other 20 is what makes you or breaks you.
