i ve seen pinny offers lot s of offers on the curling tourny at olympics including straight ups, hdc and totals for matches...just wondering:

we had in the past a great curling-capper here at the rx..i guess he was from canada..coutts or something was his name..does anybody know if he is still around?..he was really good in this sport and there should be plenty of opportunity in this tourney.

Haven't seen anyone posting as coutts since I started posting some curling plays last year. I notice Pinny is using 13.5 as the total for each men's match. I think the number is good but it's very tricky beforehand to have any idea how the match will play out, defensive struggle or wild shoootout. Same with handicaps so I prefer to bet straight up.

Canada is clear favourite for the men's gold and in my post in the picks folder I suggested Olympic for the better price.

USA had a good team at last year's world's and I'm hoping to catch a game on NBC before committing money. The first draws on Monday should be helpful in handicapping the teams. Since I'm currently in the US I'm unfortunately limited to US coverage and so won't get to hear a rundown on all the matches from the knowledgeable Canadian commentators on CBC.

I hope they make good ice.

I don't trust the Canadian men's team, especially as clear favorites. Gushue got on a nice roll in his hometown to qualify but I can't believe he deserves such a short price. Sweden is the next fav and worth a try at 4-1. Under 7.5 wins isn't a bad idea either even though I don't really know the quality of all the other teams.

Women's team is also not to be trusted as they are apparently in a serious slump leading up to these games.

Watch out for Great Britain, dem folks be using a 40k top secret broom!

Can anybody confirm when reading the schedule the first team listed has the rock advantage? I assume this is the case but this means alot so it would be reassuring to know.

ie. Canada vs. Sweden > Canada has the rock.
