Playstation 3 Release

Does anyone have an idea on when this is going to be released. I just did a search and found some saying spring 2006 and some saying fall 2006, so figured there was a diehard gamer here who had the answer. Thanks

By the way, you can reserve it now at Gamestop or EBGames. Sony just fired one of their developers because he was on record saying that he thinks the XBox 360 is better. I hope he's wrong.

Was going to be Spring 2006 but they pushed it back. The developer that got fired didn't understand why they pushed it back either. I think he mentioned it's completed so why the delay??? Possibly trying to duplicate the XBox 360 holiday frenzy effect hoping it translates into more sales.

No set price but $300-400 from what I know. Heard $399 which is another reason why they want to release closer to the holidays so people will pay for the high end price.
