He used to have arguments with Tom Tolbert just for the sake of an argument. I think he used to think it was good broadcasting. When he was broadcasting a recent game he and the other guy went on for 2 minutes talking about their own topic while ignoring the game.

He is annoying but he is insightful also. You can come away with good info on teams or where the energy of teams stand and how it relates to the bigger picture. You just have to listen to a lot of blather.

He just said , "Indiana is better without Ron Artest". LOL!! That's pretty obvious because they had a player who didn't even want to play for them.

I can't express how happy I am that this idiot is tied in full time with other networks this year. He use to be the broadcaster of all the Clippers games with Ralph Lawler. As if watching the Clippers for the last 20 years wasn't bad enough...throw in listening to that idiot while watching your team lose and you will understand what true frustration really is.

And so it goes......

He is hard to stomach when having to listen to him broadcast. He tries too hard, and ends up sounding like more of an idiot then he already is.

Joe Theismann does the same on ESPN Sunday Night Football. I wonder if these guys are paid to argue for the sake of arguing, or are they just that stupid (Theismann must wrong 90% of the time in arguments with fellow commentators, if not higher). I do think Theismann is worse than Walton. It was always a 2 vs. 1 argument with Mike Patrick and Paul Maguire on one side and Theismann chiming in on the other. Though, I admit it's entertaining to hear these guys go back in forth.

Theisman is up there somewhere on the list of announcers you would rather not listen to but Walton is way higher.

Marv and Walt are great to listen to, also.

Cannot watch any game with Walton -- he completely destroys what little interest I might have had in an NBA game to begin with. Not a big Tolbert fan. The more I think about it -- the only guy I really enjoy besides Marv and Walt is Sir Charles during HT.

Walton should be sent off to his true calling in life: coaching middle school hoops. I can't imagine what else he was born to do at this point in his life.

The worst thing about him is he is just like the biggest frontrunner in the world. If a team is good, he loves them. If a team is doing good, but unproven, he will repeat they need to prove themselves twenty times, but if they do prove it later he will act like he believed in them all along. He was kissing the Lakers asses all finals long against the Pistons a couple years back, but when the Pistons just layed it into them by game 5 Walton was singing about how great they were for basketball. Whatever.
