I dont cap baseball but I have a question. If a team may be as good as the White Sox or a team that has a great pitching staff, does it bet to play them on the run line for the year. Basically betting that their pitching will win games by more than 1.5 runs or is that bad strategy. thanks.

I remember last year the white sox had a lot of 1 run game...be careful on that

white sox arent a good run-line team.

if you ever bet that the yankees will lose by more than 1.5 you would have great value...although that worked quite a bit for me last year, i think their team will be a little better this year.

I dont suggest that at all. I am not a fan of blindly betting anything for an entire year. You have to cap the games on an individual basis.

Even if that wernt true, as Jasin4000 said, the Whitesox lead the entire league last season in 1 run games.

Lets say the Whitesox win 95 games this year(and that would be a tremendous year). they win 40 of those 95 by one run.

Your record for the year would be 55 and 107. You would get destroyed.

no one asked me but, i like to take the 1.5 runs. pretty profitable...especially in national league games when the total is low.

hi if one goes to covers.com and clicks on mlb all of last year stats are there be team both ml and rl. the white sox would have won 600 on that bet for the year. however i dont think that shows when they are a minus bet on the rl as opposed to + money.

8 out of 32 teams made money betting on the rl. on the ml 12 out of 32 made money either home or away. so unless you pick the right team it could be difficult. one would think the odds on w.sox would go up. it is the team that surprises that makes money because you catch a lot of games early at lower odds especially when they are at home. possibly clevland ty or Minn if they can get it together. Toronto? regards heart222

Blue Edwards,
I have been looking to incorporate r/l dogs into my baseball strategy this year. Do you have certain criteria you look for along with low scoring teams and do you set a limit as to how chalk you will lay ?
